A fiction story about love

For those who love books, for those who love a good fiction story about love, And those who love reading fiction love stories. A Fiction Love story takes you through a journey sometimes that journey is profound and sometimes it is mixed with humour but you can be sure that like any other fictional story a fiction love story will leave you with some life lessons.

Some books leave us with life lessons and some leave us in a good mood. But every once in a while we all get books, which leave us thinking about love, about life, and the meaning these two words hold in our day to day life.

Every good book will have a hint of a fiction story about love if not a complete love story and it is because Love is such an integral part of human life, that reading and writing about it is only natural.

What is a fiction story about love?

A good fiction story about love is like life. It will make you laugh and cry, it will at times make you question your own Life, and the decisions you make in life. It will take you through a roller coaster ride and when all is said and then, you will take something profound with you, a life lesson that will become a part of you.

1.The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Ann Shaffer:

This is one of my most loved fiction story about love. It isn’t a fiction story about love per se, it is an Epistolary Novel ( a novel told through letters, and diary entries, or other documents).

The story is set in 1946 and follows Juliet Ashton, as she corresponds with Dawsey Adams and the rest of the Society members. She goes to Guernsey and meets this quirky society and falls in love with Dawsey, and finds herself questioning her life in London, where she has a fiance and a good life. She learns important lessons and finds new meaning to life. I would suggest everyone read it if you are a fiction love story fan.

“Men are more interested in books than they are in real life.”- Mary Ann Shaffer

2.Brida by Paulo Coelho:

Now this book isn’t a fiction story about love, but again it has a fiction love story as an important aspect of it. This is a book about love, passion, mystery, and spirituality written by a master of the art of writing.

Brida is a beautiful Irish woman. She had always been enthralled by Magic, and so she goes on a quest to become a witch. She meets a wise Magi, and dowels into the mysteries of life, desire, and magic.

I Love the way this book questions life, the meaning of relationship, and the concept it presents about soul mates. I would recommend it to anyone going through a rough time in life, a book that will provide you solace and give you advice on who to deal with difficulties of life.

The fictional Love story it presents is at its best a story that makes me think that Love is not what we expect it to be but much deeper and larger than our understanding of love.

“Nothing in the world is ever completely wrong. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.”-Paulo Coelho

3.The Fault In Our Stars by John Green:

If you are a fiction love story lover then this is definitely in your library or the must-read bucket list. I have it in mine. A fiction story about love, so heartwarming and heart-wrenching at the same time, that you can’t help but cry through your laughs and smile through your tears.

Hazel Lancaster is a teenager with cancer and maybe not long to live. She meets Augustus Waters, a 17-year-old in remission. What ensues is a story of living life, to the fullest friendships and love. Throughout the story, you prepare yourself for death and it still manages to hit you unexpectedly.

If you have been through love so pure and lost it or if your life is in a similar situation then this is the fiction love story for you. If you just love Fiction Love Stories in general then also, go and check it out.

“As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.”-John Green

4.Me Before you by Jojo Moyes:

Again I bring to you a tragic fiction love story. But I can’t help it, I am a sucker for such fiction love stories. The ones that leave you and the characters with a profound and epic love. This one is truly a sweet and special book.

Louisa, a normal Ordinary girl, meets Will who is grumpy and just sad. Louisa joins a job as Will’s caretaker as he has been rendered Quadriplegic due to an accident. The stat between them is rocky but it grows and you root for them.

A story of life-changing love, it leaves you with a sudden sense to live your life to the fullest. I would tell everyone to read it.

“You only get one life. It’s your duty to live it as fully as possible.” -Jojo Moyes

5.Pride and Prejudice By Jane Austen:

Need I say why this is on the list. A fiction story about love, like none other. The first fiction love story I fell in love with. Pride and prejudice are a must-read for all book lovers, does not matter if you don’t like love stories. If you are an avid reader with a sense of love for reading and books then you must read this book.

Elizabeth Bennet the second oldest of the Bennets meets the wealthy and handsome Mr.Darcy. Both do not think highly of each other after their initial meetings, but Mr.Darcy Falls in love with Elizabeth, and Elizabeth rejects his proposal. Dealing with various themes, and other couples you can’t help but root.

Pride and prejudice are frequently regarded as the ‘most-loved’ book by many scholars and with good reason.

“I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun.”-Jane Austen

6.Anna Karenina By Leo Tolstoy:

If we are talking great fiction stories about love and do not include this one I think it would be an insult to Literature and fiction love stories. Considered by many to be the greatest work of literature to ever be published. Anna Karenina is a fiction story about love that leaves you with so much to think about.

Anna Karenina is not just a fiction love story it has various other themes, of politics, society, love, marriage, religion, and much more. The story is a treasure trove for literature lovers.

Anna Karenina is a married woman who starts a scandalous affair, and this causes a series of events that lead to the tragic ending of this book. Many other characters play an important role and many other plots leave you reeling but none so like Anna and Vronsky’s love and the demise of that love.

I suggest if you ever want to know what literature at its best can do then you need only read this novel.

“If you look for perfection, you’ll never be content.” -Leo Tolstoy

7.Outlander by Diana Gabaldon:

A fiction about love, out of its time, quite literally. Outlander was published in 1991 and has since become one of the favorites of many fiction love story lovers around the world. Recently in 2013, it was made into a Television series which has gained the book an even more immense fanbase.

The story does not only deal with a fiction love story but is a multi-genre series of the novel dealing with fantasy, romance, Historical fiction, adventure, and war.

Claire, a Second World war era nurse, is transported back in the 18th century where she meets the dashing but grumpy war soldier James Fraser. The story takes you on a whirlwind ride and multitudes of emotions, throughout. The fiction love story of Claire and Jamie is the heart of the story though. Two people from completely different times but yet they find love and solace in each other.

A Fantasy lover or a historical fiction lover, I recommend this novel to everyone because it offers something for everyone.

“Oh, aye, Sassenach. I am your master . . . and you’re mine. Seems I canna possess your soul without losing my own.”-Diana Gabaldon

8.The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks:

It would be a shame to talk about the fiction story about love and not include The Notebook. A Novel meant for any romance genre lover, this one surprises me a lot. It isn’t just A fiction story about love meant for romance readers only, it’s a fiction love story for any and everybody who has ever been in love.

Noah and Allie meet in summer, and what should have been a summer fling that stays with you for the rest of your life, turns into something so much larger, intense, and beautiful that no one, not even Noah and Allie would have expected it to be.

I do suggest you read it if you ever have been in love, and if not then read it because it is a great fiction love story rooted in reality and yet so magical that it makes you question your reality.

“You can’t live your life for other people. You’ve got to do what’s right for you, even if it hurts some people you love.”-Nicholas Sparks

9.Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare:

Romeo and Juliet

I reckon Mr.Shakespeare would be rather cross if I had not included this one the list of fiction stories about love. One of the greatest Love tragedies of all time, Romeo and Juliet are probably read by everyone. I love this novel with all my heart for just how endearing but the protagonists are, albeit young and at times a bit stupid.

Romeo meets Juliet at a ball and it’s at that moment the stars decide to create magic. Love at first sight for both, they elope and get married but never have the luck of leaving with each other.

I think it is a play I would recommend to everyone but if you are here and reading this list then I would think that you have already read. If not then please go and read it at the earliest.

“Did my heart love till now? forswear it, sight! For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night.”-William Shakespeare

10 Jane Eyer by Charlotte Bronte:

It is the only fair to feature this one on the list at last. A fiction love story way ahead of its time, Jane Eyer is a timeless classic. It had been my favorite fiction story about love for quite some time. I still do love it endlessly though.

Jane is an orphan and an outcast who to fend for herself takes up the governorship of a young girl at Thornfield Hall. Edward Rochester and his mysterious aura draw her in, with a mystery at every turn and darkness looming over the house Jane struggles to find the love that he deserves.

I highly recommend you go and read this book, while it is a Fiction love story, the themes of the novel are very dark and mysterious. The novel keeps you on your toes and yet makes you feel all giddy at times.

“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.”- Charlotte Bronte
