The Indian mountaineering foundation lies on the Benito Juarez Marg, South Campus, South Moti Bagh. It is a body for mountaineering and sports. It was originally formed as the Sponsoring Committee of the Cho Oyu Expedition, and it later, in 1961, turned into the Indian mountaineering foundation or popularly known as the IMF.
This foundation supports the climbing and mountaineering of the national and international mountains. It acts as a regulatory body for the Olympic sport of the sport of climbing. The visiting hours are 2 pm to 4 pm on working weekdays.
