Peace – Why Should It Be Important?

Peace is purely a state of mind and an intangible element that can only be felt. If I ask you or anyone, what does it mean to you? Everyone will have their quaint explanations. For some, a peaceful state is being with their family, and for others, peace is solace.

In expressive terms, it means freedom from all disputes, absence of war, and absence of mental stress1 and anxiety. We always have a constant battle between mind and heart, and it is the element that can probably fix it.

We need to have friendships within countries, states, politicians, families, and everyone. It comes when you feel complacency and free from your inner conflicts.

What happens when you are not at peace? You swallow anxiety2, jealousy, and hatred, resulting in disputes within the family, at work, and with your loved ones.

I recall an incident with my aunt who gave up on her marriage. She had no hope and wanted to quit.

One fine morning we (me and my parents) visited their place. I overheard my mom’s conversation with my aunt. I heard my mother saying,

“No matter how hard the situation is, you have to remember never to give up.”

This phase is just a chapter of your life, not the whole book; you can write a brand-new chapter on your own.

When we were leaving, my mom hugged my aunt and said, don’t let the peaceful soul inside you die. She said you don’t let one adverse action destroy the entire positive relationship.

That was the day I realized the importance of being peaceful.

You only have one life. Don’t you want to live it to the fullest?

Why Stress Over Everything?

Anger is also one of the vague reasons for destroying the human within us. People are always telling us to listen to our heart, not our mind, and some say use your mind, not your heart.

Will someone tell me who I should listen to?

After a long time, I discovered that you could quickly escape your predicaments if you had a harmonious relationship with your mind and heart.

Peace begins from within: if you are not peaceful inside, the world you see will be chaotic.

If we are peaceful, only then will we keep this world peaceful? We need to maintain a balance between our hearts and minds to attain it.

This time, go on a vacation within yourself while sitting at home and discover your inner self.
