NASA is Growing Vegetables on Mars!

In August this year, six astronauts have made history by growing red romaine lettuce on the veggie plant growth system upon the orbiting laboratory in space. But space farming is already a reality that is made possible by NASA this year.

NASA provides funds to the soil, plants, and climate department director at the Utah State University. NASA is attempting to grow foods in complex space environments. They have focused on growing some veggies like lettuce and radish that will help recycle water.

NASA had been experimenting with some technologies in space. Most of them have made their way back to the earth and ultimately paved their way to the markets.
