People comment that the actors earn lakhs or crores by just a guest appearance in a movie or show! On that note, the only thing I would like to say is that it’s not something they demand, it is what they have earned!

Will you be ever ready to take the risk of putting on 20 kilos or losing 18 kilos for the sake of your job? Not many will say a Yes!

Our film industry has seen many amazing, passionate actors/actress who once commit, don’t just act but start living the character! Here I have got a bunch of the Bollywood actors/actress that comes running to our mind when we think of their dedication to their job.

  1. Mr. Perfectionist!

Any guesses, who he might be?

Yes! Amir Khan, the perfectionist of Bollywood, is not only an actor but also a successful Director and Producer. He, who made his debut in the Bollywood film industry as a child artist in the year 1973, might be the first one we think of when it comes to commitment and perfection! He was the one who underwent a tremendous physical changeover for his movie Ghajini in the year 2008. Aamir Khan worked out and followed a strict diet for over 13 months, with a daily regime of about four hours, to achieve the next-to-impossible look for ‘Ghajini’!


  1. Daddy’s girl!

Everyone knows the Bollywood celebrity who is lovingly called the Daddy’s girl! Priyanka Chopra, also famous by her nickname PC, the winner of the Miss World pageant in 2000 has now reached a new level of stardom. PC, who started her journey with Bollywood film industry, is now a Hollywood star and a singer too! She has accomplished all of this glory only because of her passion and dedication for what she does! The movie Mary Kom is sheer proof of it. PC had undergone 45 days of rigorous strength training. It had been reported that whenever she traveled, she had her trainer travel along with her so that she doesn’t  miss out on the training even for a day! The director of the movie had placed Priyanka opposite real-life boxers during the fight scenes so as to make them look real!


  1. Maddy, the chocolate boy!

Maddy, the cute lover boy, won the hearts of many young girls not only in the Tamil film Industry but also in Bollywood, and that too with his very first movie! Well, he is none other than the suave, R. Madhavan! Choosing against his usual chocolate boy roles, Madhavan took up several challenging roles, and he has always inscribed his versatility and dedication at each point! One such notable role of his career is the most recent one in which he has played a boxing coach in the movie, ‘Saala Khadoos’.  Believe it or not, he completely dedicated three years of his life for this movie! Maddy went to the US and worked out extravagantly to get ready for his role in the film. He even built biceps which came close to the biceps’ size of Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger.  Well, Maddy managed to build 18 and a half inch biceps!


  1. The RockOn Guy!

One line description: One of the most fabulously talented actors, and surely a gift to the Bollywood film Industry! None can deny that fact. Farhan Akhtar is not only a fantastic actor but also a great film director, screenwriter, and producer, an amazing playback singer, a great lyricist and last but not the least, a television host! He has proven his talent in each of these fields many times such as in Rock On, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,etc.! However, one cannot forget his role in the movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in the year 2013. Farhan had started the training to develop a physique apt for his role in the year 2011. Farhan was trained for five to six hours daily. The training sessions included lessons in cycling, repetitions, swimming, football, stair running, etc. He underwent a rigorous training for 19 months with complete dedication!


  1. The South Indian girl!

Vidya Balan is not one of those who climb the ladders to success with their very first movie. She struggled hard, and with a great passion and dedication reached the peak! She was praised for her initial movies, Kismat connection, Pareenita, Heyy Baby, etc. She was highly applauded for the film Kahani too. The most significant turnover for her career was her role in the movie ‘The Dirty Picture’! She took the greatest risk of putting on 12 kilos for her movie. She put on the extra kilos to get into the character that she was portraying.
