Prabhu Deva directs Singh Bling, and after Rowdy Rathore, it’s the second film where he has worked with Akshay Kumar.

Raftaar Singh (Akshay Kumar) lives in Bassi Pathana in Punjab. He has been portrayed as a good-for-nothing, aimless person. He is in the habit of leaving every work incomplete. That’s why his father (Yograj Singh) gives him two options: either getting married or visiting Goa and working under his father’s friend (owner of a casino). Raftaar agrees to the latter.

After reaching Goa, he meets Sara Rana (Amy Jackson), who has arrived there searching for her lost mother. Coincidentally, she has also been sent by her father to stay with her father’s friend, who is the same person Raftaar is working for. Raftaar is bestowed with the responsibility to take care of her. But the problem is that he can’t speak English and she can only speak English. That’s when the other character comes in,  the ‘Chashmish Aurat’, Emily (Lara Dutta), who has been hired to help them translate English to Hindi and vice-versa. But she makes the situation worse by taking liberty in what is being said and what she conveys.

Raftaar falls in love with Sara, and the question that is put forth is: will he be able to impress her?

 Acting and dialogues-

The dialogues in the film are awesome, but the direction is missing. Akshay Kumar brings energy to the film with his perfect timing, and Amy Jackson has done some commendable stunts in the same, but when it comes to her acting skills, one will be highly disappointed. And the chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson is just too cold.

Talking about the Cinematography-

The streets and villages of Punjab and Bucharest, Sinai, and Brussels are captured in captivating images by Santosh Thundiyill.

The Songs-

The song “Tung Tung Baje” has been shot in various Punjab locations and will give one the real Punjab feeling. The song is sung by the famous Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh (who will soon be seen opposite Kareena Kapoor in ‘Udta Punjab’).

The song “Dil Kare Chu Che” is very entertaining, and it also connects with the plot, starring Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta.

The Story-

There is no story as such, but there are many moments in the film that will make you laugh out loud, but there are also some really annoying and embarrassing scenes.

For instance, Kay Kay Menon’s repeated dialogue ‘I am too good, na.’ And Emily’s habit of hitting their private parts of youngsters with a coconut.

Conclusion-

If one wants a break from their daily routine work and is planning to watch a comedy movie with lots of action and drama, they should not spoil their holiday and watch the movie Singh is Bling (they will fall off laughing in their seats). Though the plot is not that strong,  The Khiladi is back with his hilarious one-liners. And if the person has loved Akshay Kumar’s earlier movies, they will surely love this one.
