Dr. Vibhuti Dhaundiyal is an Aesthetic physician and growing entrepreneur, giving her the name #Doctordesiginer. Dr. Vibhuti has completed her MBBS, PGDCC DAM in Aesthetic Medicine and Cosmetology.
Dr. Vibhuti Dhaundiyal is the founder of RV LUXE clinic, which is popular for its cryotherapy, laser technology, skin problems, and one-stop solution. Her sheer will to achieve milestones helped people who were tackling skin problems.
Dr. Vibhuti Dhaundiyal is also a growing entrepreneur. She is a founder of the clothing brand ‘Rishi and Vibhuti‘ which was started by her and her partner Rishi Roy when they were in their 3rd year of MBBS. The entrepreneur is passionate about art and fashion, making her #doctordesiginer. She is a well-known skin health influencer on Instagram, popular for revolutionizing the advancement of Aesthetic medicine.
In her conversation with Icy Tales, Dr. Vibhuti Dhaundiyal speaks about her journey, aim, and general insights into Aesthetic medicine and skin care.
Q. Being a physician can be very stressful. What do you do to promote a healthy balance between work and your personal life?
Dr. Vibhuti Dhaundiyal: It is very difficult to maintain a healthy balance between work and my personal life because, as we know, in India, there are less amount of healthcare workers. Everyone is overburdened with work, but I always tried to incorporate small activities into my daily routine to maintain the balance between the two and maintain the speed at which I should have to work.
I always take a break between two to three months to rejuvenate myself. I explore new places where I find peace of mind. Also, I ensure that I get one hour for myself every day. I do something which makes me happy, and I try to maintain a balanced diet and take a breath in the open sky to have a healthy balance between work and my personal life.
Q. What characteristics are important for healthcare professionals to possess? What is your opinion about the same?
Vibhuti Dhaundiyal: I think as a healthcare professional, it is very important to have a sense of giving because our profession is a selfless profession, and someone who is in this profession has to be very caring and selfless, in someway this is one quality a professional should possess.
In healthcare, every single second is important. And one thing that is important to every professional is quick thinking because there is no chance of regret. Lastly, a professional should be humble, cooperative, and able to multitask.
Q. You are a practicing doctor and entrepreneur, also. Can you share the story behind your clothing brand, Rishi and Vibhuti, and how it all started?
Vibhuti Dhaundiyal: My partner Rishi and I started a brand in college as 3rd-year MBBS students, where we started our clothing brand Rishi and Vibhuti. We started by creating a few garments for me and designing clothes for the annual festival at college. So it started as a hobby; we were both extremely artistic and passionate about art and creating something new.
Gradually we started to get orders from our colleagues, friends, and teachers. Then we realized that our art was getting monetized, and we started making cash. Then we thought we could take this to another level, and that was the idea for starting a clothing brand.
Afterward, we registered our company at the end of my third year. And by God’s grace and because of family support, we have taken our brand to the next level, for which we are very happy and proud. This is how Rishi and Vibhuti started.
Q. What advice would you like to give someone tackling skin problems and some tips to keep skin healthy?
Vibhuti Dhaundiyal: For someone facing skin problems, I suggest they visit a skin care doctor because it is very important to diagnose the disease from which a person is suffering. They should not randomly apply anything on their skin, which is very important nowadays.
In skin care, less is more, do not apply several products on your face, and ensure that you use the right ingredients. That is something I strongly want to prove.
Last but not least, to protect your skin, you should always apply sunscreen before leaving the house because it protects your skin from hazardous UV rays from the Sun. Also, it would be best if you washed your face at least two times a day which will help you to keep your skin glowing and cherished.
Q. You have mentioned the aesthetic physician in your Instagram bio. Can you share some information about it?
Vibhuti Dhaundiyal: I have mentioned aesthetic physicians in my Instagram bio. Many people do not know about this field yet, and Aesthetic physician performs cosmetic procedures like botox and lasers but not for skin diseases.
I’m not the right person if you suffer from leprosy or any other skin disease for which you must go to the dermatologist. I’m a person who comes to having issues like acne, botox, pillars, and skin resurfacing; that is what work an aesthetic physician does. It is a cosmetic physician, not a surgeon.
Q. Being in the medical field and business, what is your favorite part about both industries, and which work do you most enjoy?
Vibhuti Dhaundiyal: I’m not both of them. They both are my passion and my profession. I love both things. I love it when a patient returns with positive feedback, the most satisfactory thing I have ever felt.
It is an amazing feeling. On the other hand, when the bride wore my designed garments, I say it was an amazing feeling. So I can’t choose one of the two. I’m enjoying both works. Also, there is no comparison between these two because they are different.
Q. How do you deal with failures, and what things keep you motivated and generous towards work?
Vibhuti Dhaundiyal: Well, I think failures are part of our life, they teach us a lot, and they are very important also. The motivation is our families, my family, and Rishi; they all keep me motivated whenever I feel disappointed, something is not working out according to what I want, or I planned something and got fail. Something which helps you grow even better, so yes, we deal with many failures.
They are all sources of my motivation. I think your loved ones are the ones who keep you motivated and, relevant, humble toward the work.
Q. At what point in your life you decided to make a career in the medical field?
Vibhuti Dhaundiyal: Since I was born, my mother has wanted me to become a doctor. I think I realized I wanted to be a doctor when I started medicine; before that, I won’t be very sure, but my mom wanted me to do so. Now I m loving this field, and I’m very happy to do it for her and all the people I try to help.
Q. Being an aesthetic physician, what are your views on people not believing in aesthetic medicine and thinking this is not a very effective treatment, and many people are afraid of laser technology used in it? How would you bust these myths?
Vibhuti Dhaundiyal: I agree that many people still have not accepted laser technology. But nowadays, due to social media, many people have gotten to know about it and how it works. These are authenticated, well-tested treatments. So people are there who have realized how great they are.
So you do not have to be afraid of it. People are recently understanding, as I run a page on Instagram entitled Dr. Vibhuti Dhaundiyal, through which it has become very easy to reach and connect with people one to one where I can spread the knowledge of aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Vibhuti Dhaundiyal’s beliefs in aesthetic medicine treatment have helped many people. She educated the people about new treatments like cryotherapy, botox, and skin resurfacing and their positives. She aims to help people identify the good behind modern skin treatment and to give faith to choose aesthetic skin therapy. She desires to lighten aesthetic medicine/therapy because many people are unaware of it.
RV LUXE clinic makes the impossible possible by introducing verities of new treatments than the conventional skin treatment method. Dr. Vibhuti Dhaundiyal busted the myths regarding laser treatment and educated as many people as they could through social media.
