The first ever book I read, by Franz Kafka, is ‘Metamorphosis’. The change that has been talked about in the book is so out of the world as one could never imagine themselves being transformed to an insect. How his family’s behaviour changed towards him and the turmoil the protagonist had to go through was so heart-wrenching. The ironic tale of Gregor, the protagonist shows how he felt broken when he faced personal alienation from the people around him and on the other hand, how others grew in their life as an effect of Gregor’s transformation.
Gregor’s death at the end signifies that death is transformative and positive as his family proceeds to a much better life on the countryside.

Let me know your views in this. It is such an experience to have known different perspectives to the same peace of literature you read.
