“People who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones who do.”
– Steve Jobs
For the not-so-tech-savvy people among you, the drone is an engineering marvel. In layman’s terms, it’s basically a flying robot with multiple add-on features. Technology is overtaking everything. So let’s see how the future with drones looks like.
1. Organ transplant – Recently, the Fortis hospital in New Delhi and Chennai said that it’s soon going to use drones to transport organs that are to be transplanted. Not just would it save time (No traffic up there bro!) but also imagine how many lives it would save! Quite a useful way to utilize this invention.
And what’s more? Doctors are actually involved in planning this brilliant innovation!

2. Google express – Google will soon deliver goods through drones in Silicon Valley by 2017. Not wanting to be left behind, Amazon and Walmart are also planning to start delivering parcels using drones. Imagine opening your door to a drone dropping your things off. Who knows, one day, they might just be delivering your pizza as well!
3. Flying camera – Every time I hang out with my friends, and we are just lying down on the lawn, laughing and fooling around, I wish someone would capture the moments so that I can re-live them. Ah! Picture-perfect. And somehow, the clicks from above look so much more mesmerizing. If you think so too, you are in luck. Because the drone camera does exactly that. And what’s more, it’s waterproof too.
Want to let your imagination a little wild? Well, this startup called Nixie is launching this wristband camera drone which, on the push of a button, would fly off your wrist and capture all your perfect memories!

4. The agriculture drone – This could be a boon for the farmers and revolutionize the farming world. Unmanned aircrafts fitted with a sophisticated camera and sensors can be used to survey the fields for growth and disease or to spray pesticides with precision or scare off birds (The scarecrow drone! :P). All this would majorly boost the yield and reduce the management cost.
5. Facebook – Aquila drones designed to provide internet connectivity at remote locations throughout the globe. It can circle up to 90 days on-air beaming connectivity down to people from an altitude ranging from 60,000-90,000 ft. It is equipped with state-of-the-art ‘laser’ technology, which can transmit data up to 10GB/s. What a splendid mission to unite and link billions of people around the world, Zuckerberg!
The drone world seems like the new world, and I am definitely looking forward to it. Are you too? Let us know in the comment section below.
