New Year!!! The term itself is an exciting one. New year means different things to different people but there is one thing that is common to everyone: New Year’s Resolutions. We all love to make resolutions. It doesn’t matter whether it becomes successful or not, but we love to come up with resolutions for the new year. Lets see what the most common resolutions for the new year are. Have a look, I bet your resolution would be there too.
1.Spend More Time with Family & Friends
People decide to spend more and more time with family and friends on New Year’s Eve but they take such a resolution just for the sake of making their near and dear ones happy. The very next day they get so busy in their daily schedule that they hardly remember their New Year resolution.
2. Stay Fit
Many people take the resolution of staying fit and exercising regularly so that their body stays in shape. They also make it a point to stay away from the junk food that is available at road-sides but people end up consuming it eventually. They maintain a proper diet for 15 days or a maximum of one month as it really gets difficult for one to change their lifestyle.
3. Study Daily
I guess every student takes this resolution. We all want to be good in academics, so this is the most common and insane resolution ever. Insane because as we all know, that it is kind of impossible on our part to maintain this resolution.
4.Quit Smoking
Well this might be the most difficult resolution but it is not at all impossible for a person who is determined to leave it at any cost. Smoking is injurious to health and if you care even a little bit about your health then you can succeed in your goal. Many people make this resolution and it has been found that people who are determined to quit smoking really do end up leaving it.
5.Enjoy Life More
Given the hectic, stressful lifestyles of millions of people, many people pledge on New Year’s Eve to enjoy life more. This is definitely an important step for a happier and healthier living. Some people manage their work and personal life well while some become so busy in their work that they hardly remember they have a life outside their profession. It really depends on the person as to how well he ends up managing both personal and professional life.
6.Quit Drinking
While many people use the New Year as an incentive to finally stop drinking, most of these people are not able to make such a drastic lifestyle change all at once. Many heavy drinkers fail to quit but they do manage to cut down on the amount that they drink. Changing your lifestyle might be difficult for many, but if you make it a point to leave drinking, then you would certainly end up in doing that.
7.Get Out of Debt
Has money been a source of stress in your life? Then the only way you can be stress free this coming year is by spending cautiously and also saving a part of your income so that you can repay your debts. Spending cautiously will definitely bring a change in your lifestyle, but you need to deal with it because there’s no point in living a luxurious life with lots of debt in the market.
8.Learn Something New
Have you vowed to make this year the year you learn something new? Perhaps you are considering a career change or want to learn a new language. You can be successful if you are determined enough to achieve your goal at any cost.
9.Help Others
A popular, non-selfish resolution, and it can take a number of forms. Whether you choose to spend time with young children in the orphanage or you decide to donate furniture, clothes and household items to people who are in need of it, if you really have a big heart then make such an unselfish resolution. Many people end up helping others but there are also people who hardly get time for their families, so taking out time for others is next to impossible.
10.Get Organized
Well this can be a reasonable one. Getting organized is not too difficult. If you perform all your work in an organized manner then life will get easier, and you would end up performing all your tasks in a perfect manner.
My personal opinion is that you should end up taking resolutions which you feel are reasonable and which you can dedicate time to. No resolution is impossible to fulfill if you try from the bottom of your heart.
