To all the girls who found themselves in fairy tales. This article will be your guide from introducing to idealizing the popular Fairycore aesthetic.
Before we start, what is an aesthetic anyway?
The word Aesthetic Was derived from an ancient Greek word ‘aisthetikos’ meaning ‘of sense perception’. The word incorporate art, philosophy, and appreciation of beauty.
Beauty can take several forms; therefore, to elaborate the term ‘aesthetic’ more precisely, it was subdivided into several more aesthetics.
There are hundreds and thousands of aesthetics, but the most popular of them are:
- Soft Girl Aesthetic
- Grunge Aesthetic
- Indie Kid Aesthetic
- Forestcore Aesthetic
- Skater Girl Aesthetic
- Dark/light Academia Aesthetic
- E-Girl Aesthetic
- Cottagecore Aesthetic
- Vintage/ Retro Aesthetic
- Fairycore Aesthetic
- Goblincore Aesthetic
Although all of these aesthetics are involved with the nature of art, each of them has great versatility to offer.
Fairycore Aesthetic

The Fairycore Aesthetic, also known as fairy aesthetic or faecore is a modern aesthetic that incorporates spellbinding magical creatures and enchanted forests and adds a bit of pixie dust to our everyday lives.
Unlike forest core, which fairycore is often mistaken for. It is a mix of nature-based aesthetics like Green academia, Earthcore, and cottagecore.
What makes the fairycore aesthetic stand out most?
Fairycore aesthetic has risen in trend on social media, often as a form of escapism from our everyday life.
Fairycore is a fashion aesthetic that manifests a fantasy world, surrounded by a garden, living in a small tree house by the waterfalls, and wearing a romantic, breezy silk dress.
The idea is mostly supported by young women who romanticize forest life and simple living with nature.
Fairycore is adored by many, most likely because it is all about fantasizing and embracing a tiny bit of magic that we can find on even the most ordinary day.
“If you see a fairy ring in a field of grass, Very lightly step around, tiptoe as you pass; last night fairies frolicked there, and they’re sleeping somewhere near. If you see a tiny Fay lying fast asleep, shut your eyes and run away, do not stay or peep, and be sure you never tell, or you’ll break a fairy spell.”
~William Shakespeare
1. Fairycore Aesthetic Mythical Creatures
Fairies
Fairies are magical beings that live in a world parallel to the mortal world, known as the enchanted kingdom. There are two kinds of fairies light and dark. While light fairies are kind and mischievous, the dark fairies take pride in causing physical harm to humans.
Cornish Pixies
Cornish pixies are mischievous, ill-behaved winged creatures that are generally harmless but can cause damage if not restrained. A historically based myth is that pixies were the remnant of the Picts tribe who painted their skin blue.
Freshwater Nixies
Guardians of freshwater pools and streams, nixies are bound to the body of water in which they dwell. They have no fingernails or hairs to speak of, and their skin has a beautiful opalescent sheen to it, much like the soft underbelly of a frog.
Elves
Elves are capricious by nature, and they live their lives being controlled by a few rules. They are fond of circle dancing, parties, singing, and games. Their pale and translucent skin peals into leafy, petal-like growths on the forehead, with large and pointed ears emerging from beside the forehead.
Dwarfs
Young dwarfs have a harsh, grumpy appearance, believing they were carved out of rocks rather than being born. Many dwarfs have a white beard, although black beards were also recorded. Much of their dresses are drab and Carthen in color.
Field Piskies
Tricksy by nature, piskies particularly delight in tormenting humans. Ranging between two feet and the height of a human child, piskies make their homes in the hollows of logs. Their dresses are composed of dried leaves, grass, and seedpods.
