You’re already a whole.
You’re already such a complicated cool combination of wonderful. I know it sounds silly & you might be like, “of course, I know that,” but I think many people get caught up in trying to find their other half. Eventually, you’ll find someone, and you don’t need someone else to complete you because you as yourself are already valuable enough.
You’re allowed to cut people out.
It’s okay to cut people out. You don’t need someone full of negativity. Remember, your friends are supposed to make you feel good about yourself, not bad. If someone doesn’t carry a positive environment, stops you from leveling up, or constantly brings you down, cut them out.
It’s okay. You don’t need people who make your environment sad. Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you, or makes you happy.
It’s going to be okay.
Whatever it is that you’re going through right now, whether it feels like the end of the world, there’s no way out, everything is going wrong, or if it’s just one small thing that’s weighing on your mind,
I just want you to know that it’s going to be okay. I know it feels like your emotions are taking over you, but just know that in the end, everything passes.
You’re enough.
You’re enough, and I’m not talking about you needing another half. I’m talking about something different. Companies invented the idea of beauty and perfection to sell their products.
The number one thing they need to do to sell their products is to make you feel like you need them. You’re beautiful enough without the makeup. You don’t need to try and fit in with the rest of the world. You’re beautiful the way you are. Don’t let anyone tell you any different.
You create yourself.
You choose what defines you. You can be anything you want, and it’s never too late to start being that person. Whoever you are, wherever you are. However you are, you might need to stick to this specific mob because maybe it’s what your family’s always done.
Perhaps it’s what everybody at school does, but whatever you want to be deep down, you can always be. It might seem scary and crazy, but it’s amazing. Whatever’s happened in your life, your past doesn’t define you. You choose what defines you, and you create whoever you are and what you want to be.
Be curious.
Especially as little kids, we feel like not wanting to disturb anyone or seeming dumb if we ask questions, but I think something so important to do in everyday life is to be curious. Like, the things that you wonder about, explore them.
Question them. Ask people about them. Whatever it might be, it might be the smallest thing. If you’re wondering why the restaurant’s salt shaker has grains of rice in it, ask the waiter. Whatever it is, I say, be curious.
Being open-minded and letting yourself see things from different people’s points of view is what’s going to shape your character. If you don’t let yourself wonder about various things, you’re going to stay in this little box your whole life, and that’s not fun enough.
Your body, your choice.
You choose what you do with your body, and whether that means you want to get bangs or a sleeve of tattoos, it’s your body & you can do whatever you want, and that includes what you don’t do with it. Never feel pressured to do anything with anyone.
Feel free to do what you wish to. Your happiness is what matters in the end. If you’re happy about something, go for it. If not, don’t. It’s totally and completely your wish to do as you feel with your body.
Your body, your choice!
Be good to people.
Be good to people, even to the bad ones. Let them be bad, but you be good because, in the end, you’ll sleep better. You never end up feeling good after being rude to someone. Bringing people down won’t get you any happiness; being polite will.
Be good to even those who are bad to you. Let karma do its work. After all, what goes around comes back around.
It’s okay to have haters.
It’s okay to have haters. Don’t feel bad about yourself if someone hates you. Having haters only means you’re doing something right. Also, we must take the haters positively and let them motivate us even more. Yes, use them as a source of motivation.
As the world-class footballer Cristiano Ronaldo says, “Your love makes me strong, your hate makes me unstoppable.”
Nothing comes easy.
NOTHING comes easy. Things are going to be tough. If you’re in the science field, you’ll feel commerce is easier and vice-versa, but let me clarify: nothing is easy. It’s all in the same difficulty level. Don’t compare things.
If it were easy, there would be no competition, and without competition, where’s the fun? Accept that things won’t come easy to you, and you’ve got to work hard for it, and only when you sweat for it will you realize the worth of it. Work hard, sweat, don’t stop. I promise it will all be worth it in the end.
