Do you know the feeling of thousands of thoughts running in your mind all together? It’s the situation where you know you have the potential to do more than you can think you can, but your brain does not allow you to take control. Have you ever experienced it? Yea, I know, it’s that curse called “overthinking”.
If yes, then you must have experienced the worst part of it and that is the inability to focus on one thing at a time? For a long time, I had no clue how to handle this, I knew that I was having this issue, but was not able to land on a proper solution. So, how I deal with it, and will this work for you too?
Well, let me tell you my story. I was walking down the same path as you. I always wondered how people could focus on their things and not procrastinate like me.
And, then I came across the Instagram art community where I spent hours going through their creativity. During then, I came across @journal.w.amber where I was awestruck at how beautifully she crafted those beautiful journals.
As you know the “heart desires more” I scrolled and watched so many people trying this beautiful art of journaling.
This art was not only aesthetic and beautiful but also it has thousands of benefits and one of them is the solution to my initial problem- overthinking.
You know how God sends you signals when you really need them? That was exactly what happened when I landed on this video.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CzcNLk3OTsH/?igsh=cW53eDJidms5djN0%C2%A0I instantly took out my paper and pen, and wrote down the things, and then I discovered how free I felt after doing it.
That’s when I realized that I need to start my own journal. So I gathered all my stationary and got started.
That was the best thing that I did. It got so much engaged that I made one and gifted it to my friend.
My excitement didn’t stop there. I eventually started my own page of handcrafted and customized journal called “Sky Journal”.
I love how it helps me relieve all my stress when I pick up my journal set and start putting all my mess into that blank canvas and paint it in the hues of my mind and soul.
It all started with the Instagram art community, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the time I came across this community.
Instagram today, not only is confined to posting pictures and following your loved ones, but also it enhances your creativity and gives you an ample amount of creative ideas. One such page is @artworkunity.
I found my way through creating journals to get rid of my anxiety and overthinking. I believe that anyone who is facing such issues should indulge in some art activity. Moreover, they should at least start journalizing their daily activities, which helps to keep the mind intact and focused.
Do share yours and let us know what helped you.
