1.1. Step 1 – Folding
At first, we need rectangle paper to make a paper airplane. Then fold the rectangle paper in half lengthwise and crease the middle folded paper with a fingernail and then unfold it. The materials needed to make paper airplanes are only paper sheets. The plane can be created with any piece of paper like colored paper, normal paper, or printer paper.
1.2. Step 2 – Making Triangle Form
In the next step, we need to grab one top corner of the paper and fold the top corner towards the center crease and then we need to grab the other top corner of the paper and fold the top corner towards the center crease so it takes into the triangle form. After the fold, press the fold with fingernails so it’s held in place. The folded part should be pointing towards us otherwise the fold would not line up.
1.3. Step 3 – Folding to Hide Triangles
After the previous step, we need to fold the paper from the top point so that the triangles can not be visible and there should be half an inch left on the bottom. The top corners of the triangle should be in the middle crease.
Again after the fold, press the fold with fingernails so its holds in place. Make sure that the top point didn’t touch the bottom edge of the paper sheet when folding it. There should be a big gap from the top point to the bottom edge after the fold.
1.4. Step 4 – Bringing the Top Corners
After the previous folds, there should make a new top two corners. Grab only the corners and fold all 4 top corners towards the center crease. Again press the folds with fingernails so it holds in place. After the fold, there should be new two triangles.
1.5. Step 5 – Covering the Triangles
After the previous step, the folded paper should make a half-inch bottom triangle point. Crease the small bottom point towards the two triangles so that it covers the triangles and holds them in its place.
1.6. Step 6 – Fold the Paper From the Middle
Next, We need to fold the paper plane from the middle crease in the opposite way as the initial fold. That means we need to fold the paper in half and the folds, we made before should be on the outside so we can see the triangles. Again press the new fold with fingernails so its holds in place.
1.7. Step 7 – Create Wings
At last, we need to make wings of the plane. Wings are the main part of a paper plane to fly in the air against gravity. After the previous folds, takes the edges of the plane and fold the top corners towards the middle crease to create wings.
First, fold on one side and flip the plane and repeat the fold on the other side to make the second wing. Then we need to unfold the wings and the top of the plane should be flat so it flies easily in the air against gravity. We should create wings of the same size otherwise the plane could not fly easily in the air.
1.8. Step 8 – Final Step
In the final part, we need to go outside and our handmade plane should be thrown by us in the air and make sure that the plane should not flip when thrown into the sky.
