When it comes to meditation, I donโt think there is another better activity for embracing mindfulness. Meditation and mindfulness are two words that are connected variously and there is a very slight difference between them. In simple words, it can be said that meditation is a way to achieve mindfulness.
People work nowadays very rashly in this fast-paced modern world, where everything is speedy and there is a sense of competence every day. The only calm way to find inner peace is to embrace the power of meditation to walk on the path of mindfulness for living a serene life.
1. Find a calm and comfortable place
Finding a calm place is the key to practicing meditation with full positivity. Along with the calm environment, the place must be comfortable enough for practicing meditation without distractions as we practice meditation to get rid of the distractions and gather our thoughts together. This place can be a park, but parks are only calm during the early morning, the rest of the day many parks are often filled with people. However, your rooftop can also become a calm and comfortable place for meditating, if you canโt find a suitable place outside.
2. Practice mindfulness while meditating
Meditation is done to control our thoughts, eliminate negativity, and embrace the positivity of nature. Mindfulness can be achieved better while you meditate as it also requires concentration and an optimistic approach for various activities. Trying to establish a focus and controlling your thoughts is the way to achieve the path of mindfulness and meditation is a great way to do it.
3. Begin meditation
Many people want to embrace mindfulness and positivity but donโt want to meditate. So, if you havenโt tried mediation ever, itโs time to get on with it. The first thing that you can do is to start meditation and remember, that itโs not something that can be achieved quickly, you need to give time to yourself to practice meditation thoroughly. Initially, peopleโs minds are full of many thoughts that are distractions in the path of mindfulness, meditating daily for 15-30 minutes will help you improve focus and reward with a calm perspective towards life.
4. Learn the art of meditation and get the hang of it
Meditation is an art that canโt be achieved overnight, years of practice become less when it comes to learning this art. So, what to do then? Practice. Yes, practicing is the only way to get a hang of meditation. When you meditate daily, youโll become calmer and more positive, the more calm will be your mind, the earlier you can achieve โ mindfulness.
5. Indulge in mindful activities
Even though meditating can help you achieve mindfulness, why not also try alternatives? Indulging yourself in mindful activities can teach you the way and importance of mindfulness. Also, the concept of mindfulness can be applied to any activity because it basically means to embrace the aroma of what you are doing and enjoy it with peace and positivity. So, you can try mindful eating, spending time in green spaces, observing small things, living every tiny moment to the fullest, and accepting your true self in each situation.
