Girls in metros nowadays ONLY know how to shop and splurge the hard earned money of their families. They go to all sorts of markets; local markets, weekly markets, and shopping marts, just to get a PERFECT piece of clothing of their choice and appropriate to the occasion.
But think again. Is it easy to buy good and fancy things at a decent price. It’s tiring to walk around from market- to market in the hot scorching sun in the hunt of a perfect outfit or something else, like a purse. It involves a lot of fuss and effort.
Budget constraint
Tomorrow is your brothers reception and you just got two thousand rupees in your hand. You have to go ethnic as it is YOUR BROTHER’S RECEPTION. But this is all the money you got to purchase a dress, accessories, shoes and some other stuff.
To some people, this might not make sense, but it requires proper planning and a good shopper to get everything set before the deadline and in the given budget.
People in the corporate world have to be dressed smartly and according to current fashion. Undoubtedly, they have to spare a share of their monthly salary for the same. But a good shopper will have to shell out less as compared to a person without any knowledge of the same.
Buying an earring
Let’s understand the amount of confusion and madness during shopping by taking an example. If we want to buy someone an earring, what factors shall be taken up?
Almost all the earrings in the local markets are anyways horrible and unpleasant. Some are good, but the pricing of these different earrings give us fits and headache.

How can one figure out which earring is expensive and which one is cheap? How do we bargain without this information? Till which limit should we bargain?
Everything is so confusing. And now comes the sizing. Either it is a real small earring, or it’s something so big that you can make a key chain out of it … Really, at least something shall be normal.
Who wore it better?
We all go to local markets and on not getting clothes at our price, we move to another vendor with similar (usually the same..) clothing. Due to this an important issue comes up. Our dress is no longer exclusive. There are dozens of girls out there with the same outfit. Often it happens that we go to some place and end up meeting a person with the same getup. And this is just the beginning of ‘Who wore it better?’
Sizing

While in a shop we might buy something just according to the standard size and not try it. We end up buying something that does not fit properly. Similarly in local places, trying is either not possible or not allowed. So we most of the times end up buying something too loose or too tight.
Shopping
Shopping is not an easy task though over-spending is a big NO-NO. Bargaining seems fun, but it’s not a child’s play! Some people just like to window shop, which itself is very relaxing and costs nothing. But the lack of knowledge means buying whatever the shopkeeper fools you to buy as he is trained to do so!
