It feels very peaceful and soothing to sleep in till late to get that extra 30, 15, or even 10 minutes. It is like relaxation, and sometimes it helps you feel better and more charged up.
I loved sleeping in late and always felt that people who wake up early for whatever reasons are ruining their sleep and it must be affecting their day in the long run. It also felt weird to think that they did this every day. Until I set in my morning routine.

So, I tried this a few times earlier. Also, whenever I tried a new workout, I would wake up early and finish my workout before starting the day but could not get into bed early. This way, after the few initial days, I’d feel very fatigued due to the added exercise and lesser sleep and eventually again shift to evening workout routines.
But last year during winter my mother started doing yoga in the morning, she had her yoga instructor come over at home and her day suddenly looked very streamlined. She felt better both physically and mentally.

So, considering that I did not have to make a lot of effort to incorporate this morning’s schedule, I also joined her for the same. We both started doing yoga every morning with the instructor. It started with light yoga, and then she introduced us to different positions, meditation, and relaxation techniques.
So, after an hour-long session not only did we burn 200-300 calories but also started to get some sort of mental relaxation. How it turned my morning although was because I used to wake up 30 minutes before the session to get ready for it.
Now, the actual time when you feel the most sleepy and lousy was spent doing yoga, so that was replaced by energy and power. This gave me the stamina to perform better the whole day. I felt less tired and could get a lot more done due to two reasons.
One was that I had so much extra time on hand, and secondly, since I did not feel fatigued, I could get a lot done in just the first half of the day. Now, I have time to even space out my meals in a way that I can inculcate everything without stuffing myself.

The main reason although of getting a lot of time and productivity is the fact that when you are working in the morning a little bit before the hustle and bustle has started, you can be more focused. You can concentrate better, and you do not have a foggy brain because it is completely charged when you sleep.
So, the key takeaway would be to try getting up a little early and getting some workout done in the morning. Plan and begin your day early to have a more sorted out and relaxed day, and crash early. Because it is rightly said, ‘early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise’
