A spill of sweat can result in violence but it takes the sacrifice of thousands of lives to bring back peace. In this radicalized world where violence is the first resort to achieving anything, peacekeeping is a mountainous job.
Moreover, when the governments fail to provide security to people either due to a civil war or uncontrolled aggression by a military outfit, the United Nations peacekeeping force is deployed.
The Union Peace Keeping forces have been deployed at numerous remote places across the world to restore and maintain peace.
Moreover, the sacrifice of these soldiers for the sake of world peace is indeed divine. This sacrifice of the UNPKF deserves to be celebrated. The 29 May every year is celebrated as the International Day of Peace Keeping.
The United Nations announced the celebration on Twitter. Sharing a report on the sacrifice of the Peacekeepers, the united nations paid tribute to them. The tweet read,
“From protecting civilians to promoting human rights, UN peacekeepers leave their families behind to help create the conditions for lasting peace.
