Shared Death Experiences is not just a combo of words but a deep concept that has a lot to be researched about with a scientific base. Even though there are fewer scientific facts about SDEs, it’s proven that they are real, however, the basis of evidence is the people who have gone through it.

The world’s two renowned researchers, William Peters and Ramond Moody who have done in-depth research about SDEs and NDEs respectively, and still working on it shared their insights and facts based on their years of research about SDEs.

Raymond Moody analyzed primarily seven elements that contribute to this phenomenon based on the claims of several SDE experiencers.

When a mathematician experienced an SDE, he described it as “a change of geometry” where the room seems to mutate or stretch a little longer or contracted, an experience that can make you feel dizzy.

However, it wasn’t the case for others as they described it as “an immersion in a mystic light”, where people felt purity, love, and a sense of peace in their experiences.

Some of the reports stated that a musical sound accompanied that experience, while a few claimed the presence of fog at the time of the death, specifically a sort of white smoke coming out of the deceased body and sometimes might take a human form.

Even though the above four indicators of SDEs may sound delusory, these are the experiences associated with SDEs. Now, even if you don’t believe the above elements, the rest of you surely will.

The other three indicators include incorporating experience, feeling of being in a surreal world, and most importantly, which is rare but people have gone through it, which is where they find themselves living a life with the deceased.

While not disclosing the identity for various purposes, a statement that came out from an experience of SDE was “I stood in front of what looked like a large screen with my husband who had just died and we watched his life unfold before our eyes. Some of the things I saw, I had no idea until then.

Also, there are many real stories about SDEs that you can find in either of the books based on true research from William Peters such as At Heaven’s Door, or search for real-life examples, which are significantly few but still enough to understand this phenomenon. For example, a daughter had an SDE about his father suddenly burst into tears but didn’t understand what happened to her. Until she and her mother realized, sadly, that her father was already gone. However, it is one of the SDE experiences that can share insights about the indications of SDE and how differently they can occur from person to person.

Many researches are primarily based on true experiences and not only the claimers of those experiences but researchers themselves who have experienced this exceptional phenomenon like William Peters who has gone through two NDEs and an SDE.

SDE is an experience that is experienced by a bystander beside the deceased and it relates in several ways with NDEs such as talking to the spirit, the soul leaving the body, and traveling in a tunnel, Dr. Raymond Moody described some of these similarities thoroughly in various podcasts, interviews, and especially in his researches.
