3. Eye Makeup for Big Eyes with Smokey Eye Makeup
If you have round prominent eyes try out this smokey eyes makeup look. It’ll add more charm and boldness to your overall facial features.
3.1 Instructions for Doing Smokey Eye Makeup for Big Eyes
- Step 1
The first step always is to prime your eyes. Put a mattifying primer if your eyelid gets easily oily. Start with concealing your eyes with the right conceal color. Also, use the method of color correction if needed under the eyes for dark circles.
- Step 2
Later, start by applying a base color that matches the skin tone of your eyes with the help of a fluffy brush on your entire eyelid and till your brow bones. Blend the eye shadow nicely.
Next, with the help of a flat brush add a shade that is darker than the shade that was used earlier. Now, blend the eyeshadow under the outer corner of the lower lashes and closer to the waterline.
Then blend out the same eyeshadow in the socket of the eye forming an outer v towards the temples and, taking it near to the eye area right above the eyeball. This will help in making the big eyes look more elongated.
Another important step is to blend and smooth out all the eyeshadow so there are no harsh prominent strokes visible. If you want to have a more dramatic eye makeup look, then add the same dark eyeshadow to create more shade in the creases and make your eyes stand out more.
Blend all the shades in the same technique till there are no harsh lines visible.
- Step 3
Further, add a shade that is lighter to your skin tone as a base for putting the highlighter later on the lid space of your big eyes. They use this shade only in the middle so it will create or give a nice dimension to your big beautiful eyes.
Now, apply a little of the shimmer shade again on the eyelid but make sure that there are no big chunks of shimmer in the pigment. Or you can use a highlighter instead of shimmer shades.
Once you are done with adding the shimmer to the eyelids, take the same shimmer shade or the highlighter and apply it in the center bottom line of your eyelashes. Also, add the shimmer in the inner corners of your large eyes.
Doing this will give shine and the entire focal point of the eye makeup will get highlighted which is perfect for creating smokey eyes.
- Step 4
Afterward, take a makeup brush that is short, flat, and dense for applying the eyeliner on the upper lid. Then begin by applying the eyeliner in an upward stroke from the outer corner of your eyes along with the outline you created with the shades in the form of an outer v.
Next, dab the eyeliner on the upper lashline with the help of the flat make-up brush till you reach the inner corner of your eye area. Further, fill in the gaps if there are empty spaces left between the eyelash and the eyelid area.
Consequently, apply and take the eyeliner a bit further from the outer end of your bottom lashes to the middle of your eye bags reaching right towards the highlighter shadow you had applied earlier.
A small tip you can use when applying eyeliner is that if you want your eyes to look round then stick to keeping the same thickness of the eyeliner towards the outer end of your eyes.
But if you want to make your round big eyes look more extended, then taper the thickness of the eyeliner towards the inner upper lashline and, pull the liner stroke more outwards from the outer end of your lower lashline.
- Step 5
Finally, you will add false lashes to your eyes. But before adding false lashes you will need to curl your eyelashes and then apply mascara to the eyelashes and let it dry, and, then again curl the lashes with the eyelash curler.
This is one great tip you should use to make your false lashes look more natural and not look so obvious and blend in with your natural lashes. For this, you will need to use the eyelash curler on the false lashes as well.
After you use the eyelash curler these false lashes will mold into a curve they’ll sit perfectly right about your curled original lashes. Henceforth, your lashes will look natural and hereby your smokey eye makeup for big eyes is eventually done!
