Skincare is a routine for most people and is quite a good routine to follow as taking care of skin is a part of self-care. Also, people use many skincare products on their faces, hands, and legs and many skincare products are manufactured with the use of chemicals, which is fine.
Still, I guess it would be better if we could get to use plant-based skincare products, which are entirely prepared with natural ingredients. Even though there are many sustainable skincare brands nowadays, ensuring the 100% authenticity of natural ingredients in their products is still difficult. So, why not try some plant-based homemade products for our skincare?
I have brought some amazing plant-based skincare products that you can prepare yourself and they can work well without any added chemicals.
1. Aloe vera body scrub
Aloe vera is an excellent plant for using on your body or even face as it moisturizes the skin and is extremely beneficial for people with dry skin. You can simply prepare an aloe vera body scrub by mixing a cup of aloe vera gel, half a cup of almond oil, 10 drops of lavender essential oil, and one and a half cups of Himalayan pink salt. However, the use of salt can be adjusted as per your preference. You can apply this scrub to your body twice a week to get smooth skin.
2. Cocoa-rich face scrub
To prepare this face scrub, you need to take a tablespoon of cocoa powder, one tablespoon of ground coffee beans, and one tbsp of coconut oil with one tbsp of ground oatmeal.
Then, put all these dry ingredients together in a bowl then you need to add coconut oil as per your requirement to gain a grainy consistency.
Applying this mixture on your face for 60-90 seconds is enough but there is no harm if you want to keep it for even 10 minutes. After this, you can wash your face off and apply moisturizer for a good finish.
3. Banana and turmeric mask
Turmeric is highly recommended for fair and glowy skin. To prepare this mask, take a ripe banana and mash it in a bowl then add one-fourth teaspoon of turmeric powder into it with one teaspoon of ground orange peel and prepare a paste of it.
Applying it on your face and keeping it for 20-25 minutes before washing it off can get you good results. And the best part of this mask is results can be seen within an hour, so I guess it’s a must-try.
4. Blueberry Face Mask
This is a well-known fact that blueberries are high in antioxidants that nourish skin from the inside and give a soothing finish. Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with one tablespoon of mashed ripe blueberries and then add two tablespoons of baking soda and water into it, after that add a tablespoon of cucumber juice to this combination and mix everything well. Let this mask rest on the face for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. This mask is rich in vitamin C and is good for brightening skin.
