(b) Review the Requirements
It is crucial to carefully check all the requirements for getting enrolled in any course to prevent any future inconvenience and get all the confusion resolved.
Here are the steps you should follow to check if you meet all the requirements or not.
(i) Minimum Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements are different for a different type of student.

Quebec students:
A two-year pre-university program or a three year professional DEC (a college-level diploma unique to Quebec) is required. It depends upon the program that ‘what will be the CRC requirements?’.

Canadian Students other than Quebec:
Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate are equivalent to grade 12 academic courses and are accepted instead of them. The requirements depend upon the provincial curriculum. Click here for more details.

International Students:
Different educational requirements are depending upon the education system he/she has followed during high school.
For students from countries/region with English not as primary language needs to prove their English proficiency.
The student would also have to generate the immigration information after receiving the offer letter from Concordia University.
The applicants are also required to prove that they are financially capable of paying the tuition and residential fee.

Mature Students:
That applicant who failed to meet the minimum admission requirements can apply through mature entry based on age, experience, and academic performance.
To be considered for Mature entry, some conditions need to satisfy.
- Age should be at least 21.
- If the applicant has completed, a credential that does not meet minimum admission requirements can apply through the mature entry.
- If the student has been out of school for 12 months can be given admission based on his academic performance in the last 24 months.
This option is only available for Canada’s permanent residents or, with some exceptions, for Canada’s students on a family diplomat permit. - The applicant would have to upload curriculum vitae, the reason for applying at this age, age proof, and transcripts while filling the application form.

Transfer Students:
The students who want to transfer from their current accredited university to Concordia University are admitted based on their university studies and previous studies. The current minimum grade for admission is C.
Even students already studying at Concordia University can apply for an internal degree transfer to switch from one undergraduate program to another.
(ii) Program Specific Requirements
It is to be noted that fulfilling minimum admission requirements do not guarantee admission at the university. Along with them, there are other requirements to be fulfilled based on the applicant’s program.

(iii) Language Requirements
No application is considered for admission until the student uploads the English Proficiency Test Scores. The student is provided with the time of 3 weeks from the date of application to submit the test scores, but if you fail to do so and you have a test scheduled, then upload the proof of the same and upload the test scores as soon as possible.
The applicants need to generate supporting documents like transcripts, proof of status in Canada. These documents can be uploaded anytime after applying.
(c) Application Instructions

Then select Undergraduate under the level of study. - Choose the application category that best describes your current academic status.
Select the term and the year the applicant wants to apply to. - Biographical information will be required like name, date of birth, first language, email address, and other details.
- You can also provide a mailing address in contact information other than your home address.
- Then select the Academic Program like BEng, BA, or any other.
- Then select the specific academic plan you want to focus on.
- The applicant can choose up to three academic programs and an academic plan from the complete list of programs and plans. The choice should be made based on priority, which means the program chosen first will have the top priority.
- To describe the academic history, list down the academic institutions by specifying the amount of time you studied there.
- Then list down your academic achievements, honors, and distinctions.
- Now upload the required documents to support your application.
- Pay the application fee of CAD 100 by credit or debit card.
- After clicking the Submit button, you will receive a mail to confirm the Email ID and Student ID number. This eight-digit student ID will be used throughout your study at Concordia University.
Once the application is submitted, go to MyConcordia.ca and check the ‘To-do List’ under My Student Centre. It will have a list of documents to be uploaded. Upload the documents and wait to receive some response from the University. It may take 10 days to review your file, so be patient.
2. Graduate Programs
Concordia University offers 200 graduate programs to choose from to specialize your knowledge.
(a). Choose a Program
Before filling the application form, choose the most appropriate program for you. There are four types of Degree offered here:
- Doctorate

The program can be a Thesis or Course-based type.
The applicant can find the program for his field of interest. Those 200 programs belong to one of the following categories:

(b). Review the Requirements
Check carefully if you meet all the requirements for admission before applying.
(i) Minimum Admission Requirements
For admission to any graduate degree, the university has fixed some academic grade requirements to fulfill.

Doctoral Programs:
The applicants must pass the masters or magistrate with honors or with an average GPA equivalent to B.

Master’s Programs:
The applicants are required to have a completed bachelor’s or baccalaureate degree with an honors, specialization, or a GPA equivalent to B.

The applicant needs to have a bachelor’s or baccalaureate (or equivalent) degree with a good academic record.
(ii) Program Specific Requirements
The above-given requirements do not guarantee admission to Concordia University. It is essential to check the program-specific requirements as there are some extra documents required to be eligible for admission in that course.
(iii) Language Proficiency
The applicant is required to submit proof of English Language Proficiency. Applicants must submit the test scores (TOEFL, IELTS) as the application is not considered for further processing without it.
(iv) Supporting Documents
The applicants would have to submit the following supporting documents for further processing:

- Thesis Supervisor: For students who have chosen a program with a thesis option are required to find a researcher in your area of thesis who can mentor them throughout the program.

- Select the term and the year you want to apply to.
- In the Biographical information, provide your accurate information like name, date of birth, first language, email address, and other information about you.
- Specify the mailing address if you have it under the Contact Information section.
- Choose the Academic Program (Doctorate/master’s/diploma/certificate) you want to pursue with the specific Academic Plan, a subject like chemistry, business, or any other.
- List down the academic institutions’ names from where you have pursued your post-secondary education along with the time period.
- The next section mentions your academic achievements like publishing research, scholarship, award, or any other academic honor.
- Reference Letters are provided in the next section. Most programs require three reference letters but do clear the number on the program requirements page.

- After the submission, the applicant will receive an email within 24 hours to confirm the Email ID provided during the application.
Confirm the Email ID and the Student ID provided in the mail will be used throughout your term at Concordia University.
