STEP ONE – Soak the strawberries in 1 cup of water mixed with 1/4 cup of vinegar for 30 minutes. This step is important to protect the berries from harmful bacteria and molds.

STEP TWO- Add all the chocolate with some coconut oil into a glass bowl. If you are tempering in the microwave, make sure you are using a microwave-safe bowl. Coconut oil helps chocolate thicken faster.

STEP THREE- Temper chocolate by double boiler method and stir constantly, or microwave it for 3o secs. Please note the temperature of chocolate should not be more than 90° F. The ideal temperature should be 86° F for dark chocolate and 84° f for white chocolate.

STEP FOUR – While your chocolate temper, pat dry prepare strawberries, and insert the toothpick in the middle of the stem area (petiole) of the strawberry. Use room temperature strawberries.

STEP FIVE – After tempering the chocolate, hold the strawberry from the toothpick and dip it into the chocolate coating. Dip 3/4 of the strawberry into the chocolate.

STEP SIX- After dipping in, take out the strawberry and shake off the excess chocolate drip. Remember not to wipe the chocolate on the strawberry in the bowl as it will leave a patch of strawberry uncovered.

STEP SEVEN – Take a sheet pan, place the parchment paper, and put the chocolate-covered strawberries on it.

STEP EIGHT– Let the strawberries dry at room temperature. If you live in a humid or hot climate, dry strawberries in the refrigerator for 30 mins so it gets hard.

2. Colorful Chocolate Covered Strawberries

For this recipe, you will need- white chocolate, food Color, Strawberries, a parchment-lined baking sheet, and toothpicks.

STEP ONE- Temper the white chocolate, and divide it into 3 to 4 separate glass bowls.

STEP TWO– Add food color to each bowl as per your choice. The popular colors are red, pink, purple and blue.

STEP THREE– Wash and completely dry the strawberries, and insert the toothpick into their neck. Hold the strawberries from the toothpick, dip them in the colored Chocolate, shake it off and let them dry on the parchment paper.

3. Marble Glazed Chocolate Strawberries

For marble glazed chocolate-covered strawberries, you will need colored chocolate(at least two colors), a piping bag, melted white chocolate, strawberries, and toothpicks.

STEP ONE – Fill two piping bags with different colorful melted chocolates and keep them aside.

STEP TWO- Wash the strawberries, pat dry, and insert a toothpick into each strawberry.

STEP THREE – Pour some white melted chocolate into a glass bowl and make a two-color zig-zag pattern on the surface of the white chocolate. Use the piping bag to make the two-color zig-zag pattern.

STEP FOUR– Hold your strawberry from the toothpick, dip it in the white chocolate and swirl it while taking it out from the melted chocolate.

STEP FIVE – After taking out the chocolate mixture, you will notice the marbled effect glaze in the strawberry. Let it sit on the baking sheet for 30 minutes at room temperature or in case of a very humid and hot climate, refrigerate it for 30 minutes.
