How to Not Feel Insecure
We have no understanding of the meaning of being insecure and the reason why people feel insecure; let us have a look at the top tips on how not to feel insecure.
1. Be a Confident Person

One of the best things you can do not to feel insecure is to be confident. There is nothing more powerful than being an assertive person who makes their own decisions and follows their own rules. If you become a confident person, nothing could ever break you down or make you feel unworthy.
People often have a sense of insecurity when they have a fear of facing the people around them. They feel that everyone is judgemental, and whenever they walk into the room, people will start judging them or pass comments on their appearance. Always walk into the room like you own that place. Walk like you are the most confident of them all.
Do not be unwilling to meet new people. Interact with people and have no fear; that will reflect how confident you are. Want to know some best books to boost your self-confidence? Click here.
2. Stay Away from Toxic People
There is nothing more stressful than being surrounded by toxic people. You meet a lot of toxic people in your life, but the majority of time, you tend to overlook how badly they treat you. You ignore everything that they make you go through.
Shockingly enough, these toxic people may be your friends. Stay away from a toxic friendship that makes you feel insecure. People who you consider as your friends are usually the ones that make your insecurity even worse than it originally is.
You may think that this is how your friends are supposed to be, but you live in the ignorance that friends are not supposed to be this way. Know that you must let go of such people at some point in time. Do not be close to them in any manner.
Do whatever you can to cut ties with them. Block them on all your social media handles, delete their number, call it quits with them in person and just let go of them forever. You do not need this kind of negativity in your life. Even when you are in a relationship, if your partner makes you feel any less worthy than you are, then break up with them.

3. Be Friends with Yourself
Nothing is better than enjoying your own company. After all, it is you who knows the best of yourself. The less toxic people you surround yourself with, the more you will enjoy your company.
Give time to yourself and know that amidst the busy schedule that you may have, it is always good to take some time out and be with yourself. Keep your electronics away from you for a while, and reflect on how things have been on that particular day. Know what changes need to be made and act accordingly because the only person that will stay with you till the end is yourself and no one else.
4. Practice Self-Love
The most crucial step in not feeling insecure is by practicing self-love. More awareness and consciousness need to be spread concerning self-love. It cannot happen overnight, so you need to make sure that you continuously feel good in your skin.
There are hard times when you may feel like you are not worthy enough; that is when you need to keep your head up and feel good about yourself. Take a look every day at yourself in the mirror and remind yourself that you are unstoppable and that you will not let any negative energy affect you in any way.
The first step to self-love is to understand that this is your only mind and body. If you do not love it, then nobody else will. If you do not feel loved by yourself, then you cannot expect anybody else to love you.
Self-love starts from within. The moment you decide to love yourself, that is when everything around you changes.

Look at yourself in the mirror and love what you see. Feel proud of everything that you have. As long as you are proud of yourself, you will not need anybody else’s reassurance for the same.
5. Keep Your Circle Small
Do not surround yourself with a bunch of people. The more people you surround yourself with, the more toxicity follows—the type of people you surround yourself with plays a significant role in how you feel about yourself.
You may lose many people in the process of bettering yourself, and it is completely fine. It is all part of the process of not feeling insecure about yourself.
It is essential to know that being around positive people is what enhances your confidence. Who are these positive people? Positive people are those who uplift your mood; these are the type of people that do not judge you for who you are but appreciate what you do. They may give you constructive criticism but only to empower you and make you a better person.
6. Work on Your Insecurity
The only person that has the power to change anything about you is yourself. Although there is absolutely no reason to change anything about yourself, if you do not like seeing yourself in the mirror, have you tried working on it?

If you can work on your insecurity and be a better version of yourself, you do not need to feel insecure if you are working on yourself continually. The most important thing while working on improving yourself is to realize that you must never compare yourself to others.
There are times when we fail at doing something. That is the time when you should never give up. Failure is a part of the process; it only reflects that you are strong enough to know what is right for you and work on it.
Your progress is your own. The way you see yourself is how others will see you. If you do not treat yourself right, others will not treat you right. If you feel confident and if you treat yourself like you are worthy, then that is how others will also treat you.
Everyone has to deal with fear and insecurity at different points in their lives. It is okay to feel insecure, but what is not okay is when you let your insecurity overpower you. Are there any other ways on how to not feel insecure? Overcoming insecurity takes time, so don’t lose hope!
