They also have exhibits on loan. Most of the minerals are from the premises of North Carolina and Hendersonville. The most popular exhibit in the museum is the fossil corner, which exhibits a T-rex head, a mastodon thigh bone, tusk and tooth, a skeleton of a hoplophoneus, and a smilodon.
They also have a dinosaur egg nest, and they even allow the visitors to touch them. A new introduction to the museum is the leg bone of a wooly mammoth. The admission is free, and they also feature a gift shop from which you could even buy some fossil specimens.
The museum runs from Monday to Friday from 1 pm to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 11 am to 5 pm.
