Have you ever met those people who are like, “Aren’t you too old to be watching cartoons”?

And they are mostly the most pessimistic and depressed people. Like if you stopped going around and judging everyone, your life might have been good.

Cartoons are as good as any TV show or sitcom. The story, the characters, and the plot—everything with a touch of absurdity- is just perfect when you just want to switch off your brain and chill for a while.

I still watch old cartoons and some new ones. I like the old ones better, because I think they are better than any new cartoon can ever compete with shows like Shin Chan and Doraemon.

And this is a very popular opinion like people keep talking about nowadays that every new show is just shitty.

I don’t even know if it’s a fact or people just like to feel nostalgic and be like “those were the times” because there are a lot of memories attached to it.

If I ask you now about your childhood, half of it will be “watching cartoons”, because our core memories as a child were watching TV and Playing.

And when I watch those cartoons now, I feel like I’m living a part of my childhood, and you know, there are some specific episodes of some cartoons that you remember exactly when you watched them as a kid for the first time.

I recently watched a Shinchan movie, an old one. I’ve seen it before, but like every other show, cartoon, or movie, I decided to watch it again. There is nothing more comforting than watching something you’ve already seen.

And the joy I felt after watching it was surreal, like one of its aspects was the story, the characters, and the animation, and everything was just amazing!

Like, I bet if these movies were released in theatres, people would start going out to theatres again.

It had everything you need in a movie, I laughed, I was excited, and in the end, I cried a bit too. The other aspect of it was, of course, nostalgia. Because I exactly remembered the first time I watched it.

I just came back from school, the first thing I did I switch on the TV, and the movie was just about to start. I was so grateful that, thank god, it didn’t start before I came back.

And that’s all it took to make me happy as a kid. And yeah, I cried then too!
