Advertisements are the biggest and easiest method to promote any product. Many brands want to rope the biggest stars to advertise their brand in order to cash their popularity and gain huge sales. And to make their product more appealing they fake add such properties which are not even present in their products. The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) had found 62 out of 126 major advertisements misleading in June 2017.
The ASCI’s Consumer Complaints Council has found these ads misleading or inappropriate content by consumers and various forums. Out of these 62 ads, 23 belonged to the Healthcare category, 17 to the Education category, 10 in the Food & Beverages category, 6 in the Personal Care category, and 6 advertisements from other categories. These ads have been banned due to various complaints. They are:-

This step has put a major pressure and has drawn a tight slap on the faces of those who took advertising for granted. This is a remarkable step that will surely improve the standards of the low quality of the ads in our society that promises success and new heights just by using a fairness cream.
