“Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”. What one individual considers beautiful may not be beautiful to another. Beauty is not only something that pleases the eyes, but also pleases the other senses and the mind. True beauty makes you see beyond the lovely sight. It gives you an insight or realization of something interesting beyond just the outward appearance.
When we talk about beauty in people,we often refer to their physical and outward (often fake) attractiveness. Of course, a beautiful or handsome face is pleasant to look at. But the most memorable “beautiful people” are those who have captivating personalities behind the pretty faces.
Confidence reveals a person’s true beauty. Beauty neither lies in skin nor in appearance but in character and good deeds. Pretty faces may cheat but beautiful hearts can never deceive. Khalil Gibran has truly quoted that “Beauty is not the face; beauty is a light in the heart”.
Beautiful faces are those that wear away after some time but it matters little – dark or fair so long as handsome deeds are printed there. You may judge a flower or a butterfly by its appearance, but not a human being. A human being is recognized by his deeds, the person he is from within, his level of understanding, his civic sense and also by his sense of empathy for others.
Face is no more the index of the mind.
