1. Cooperation

If you are not cooperative, you can’t adjust to a PG. Not only in a PG but anywhere, you’ll be facing hardships and have to deal with endless quarrels. Those people who are selfish and non-cooperative are always neglected and hated by everyone.

So learn to adjust in all areas where you think it’s possible. But always remember not to become so adjusted that you find adjustment even when you’re 100% sure that you’re right and the circumstances are not appropriate.

2. Self-Dependence

You might make many friends when you are living as a paying guest, but somewhere you do feel lonely. This loneliness is felt when you know that your parents are not with you physically. Your parents are not always there to help you out. So you must learn to deal with things all by yourself. Of course, you can take help from your friends, but you can’t trust them blindly or depend completely on them.

The major problem one has to deal with in a PG is the age difference. Most of the time, the seniors might try to bully you or dominate you. Don’t remain silent when you know that you’re correct. Learn to be cunning and handle the situation in such a way that you are saved. Never be scared of those who are wrong.

Remember, a PG might not offer you the luxuries that you get at home, like delicious meals, proper facilities, luxurious rooms, etc. Don’t crib about those luxuries; you are not there to enjoy the luxuries but to study and acquire your goals. Every person has to sacrifice his luxuries to become a successful person.

5. Unclean Food

The main problem for PG students is the lack of good meals. In a PG, students normally pay for breakfast, lunch, and supper. These fees are usually pre-paid. However, the mess’s food is of poor quality. Some students become sick right away. This is the most severe and worrisome problem confronting kids. Some prefer to dine outside the paying guest. This raises their living costs. Cooking is the greatest method to cope with it. Learn to cook before going to a hostel or a pg. Also, bring some cooking essentials. It could help.

6. Wi-Fi

Many PG owners promise to provide free Wi-Fi 24 hours a day. But the truth ends up looking to different. The internet is either too sluggish or non-existent most of the time. End result: either pay for personal data recharges or experience a loss of connectivity.

This is another issue that students encounter while looking for hostels, apartments, or PGs. Every student needs personal space, so moving to hostels is certainly out. Your personal space is restricted to your bed. You will be disappointed if you anticipate home-like comfort.

8. Savings Problems

Savings is tough while you are away from home, and most students believe this and end up spending money. Most PGs give lunches, but not all. You can’t anticipate meals in apartments since you’ll have to prepare and purchase everything yourself. Also, if you have an in-house meal service, you may not enjoy the food quality.

9. Changing with Individuals You Don’t Like

Everyone is unique, and so are their choices. When looking for PG apartments or hostels, you may not find a roommate that shares your interests. Your choices, habits, and tastes may vary. Your roommate may be your worst nightmare in terms of bothersome behaviors. All of this may be distracting.
