Haunted! When asked about this to most people it fills them with terror remembering those moments of terror for a fraction of second. Existence of ghosts is still not justified but we have experienced at least once in our life those moments when it has really got to our nerves. - Cherapunji, Meghalaya
Most of the people know this place from the fact book as it receives heaviest rainfall every year but it’s also famous for a rubber tree whose roots go as long as 3000 feet (That’s certainly not normal). These roots now connects to the other side of the river and acts as a river bridge. Nature has many ways to astonish us and this living bridge is one of those.
- Jatinga village, Assam
On the moonless night of September and October you can see migratory birds falling dead from skies of Assam on this place. It’s a sad experience. Scientist have still no explanation for this.
- Marshy Lands, Bengal
If you ever visit swamp areas of Bengal you’ll sure see scary light travelling over the marshy lands. According to residents these are souls of dead fishermen. But a science theory explains that organic gases mixes with oxygen to create glowing effects. Whatever the reason is, it’s sure is enough to give chills.
- Chandipur Beach, Orissa
There is a beach in Orissa which disappears for sometimes in a day. You can see it for an hours then automatically it vanishes for another. As per an explanation it happens due to tide change but still the beach is an awesome place to visit and can create an awe.
- Bhangarh Fort, Delhi
It is said that whoever entered the place after sunset has never been found. The story as told by the locals speak of some kind of a black magic worshiper who had cursed the fort to be unlivable.
- Sabrimala, Kerala
There is a temple in Kerala known as Sabrimala Temple. A celestial lighting pops up every year on 14th January in one of the hills. Some of the local pandits believe that it’s an act of Lord Ayyappan. It’s not haunting but it still creates a hype in Sabrimala in this season. It sure has become an attraction for tourist and a treat for temple dwellers.
- Loktak Lake, Manipur
The island on this lake has a featured documentary because it is the only floating island in the world. It has vegetation growing on it and it’s a living wonder to see. Every year it attracts many tourist from all around the world.
- Kongka La Pass, Indo Chinese Border
This is from Indo Chinese Border. Many UFO sightings and photographs have been taken here. Extra-terrestrial lovers will love this eye pie. People have also reported that they have seen spaceships emerging form the border lands. It’s ambivalent that tourists are not allowed at the place but it still is a mystery.
Rann of Kutch, Gujarat
The oxidation of marshes creates lightning effect here in Banni Grasslands as in Bengal. But here locals have reported that it changes colors and also follows them at night. This places seems like a Diwali build house at times of the phenomena. Because of this beautiful yet mysterious look, it has worked to get attentions of the visitors.
