PM Narendra Modi’s Arrival in Papua New Guinea!

Narendra Modi is a global leader who is loved by millions. He is welcomed by thousands of people of Indian and Indian origins during his foreign visits.

His diplomacy moreover had helped India to grow on a global stage.

The Prime Minister of India recently was invited to the G7 summit by Japan and he also interacted with many world leaders in two days.

As part of his Look East Policy, Modi is moreover on a three-country tour including Japan.

As part of his visit, he is also visiting Papua New Guinea. He arrived in Papua New Guinea on 21st May 2023. He was moreover welcomed by the Prime Minister of the country traditionally.

1. Welcome by PM James Marape

It appears that PM Modi is impressed with the welcome offered to him.

He took to Twitter also to announce his arrival and the welcome he received.

He tweets,

Reached Papua New Guinea. I am thankful to PM James Marape for coming to the airport and welcoming me. This is a very special gesture that I will always remember. I look forward to boosting India’s ties with this great nation during my visit.

Additionally, Narendra Modi was welcomed with full military honors and with traditional dance.

2. Gesture by PM James Marape

During the welcome, there was a respectful gesture by Prime Minister Marape.

Moreover, in a video shared by the spokesperson of BJP, Sambit Patra, the former is seen taking a blessing from PM Modi.

In the video, the Prime Ministers are seen shaking hands initially.

Thereafter, PM James Marape is seen bending down to touch Modi’s feet. However Narendra Modi quickly on to him and hugged him. The gesture has made Indians proud of their Prime Minister.

In a remarkable gesture, the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea pays respects to the Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji by touching his feet.

3. PM’s Visit

The visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a unique feat and is a maiden visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Papua New Guinea.

Also,  this visit is the second phase of his visit to the Tri-nations tour. Post G7 in Japan, he will be heading to Australia with a stop at Moresby, PNG.

4. Grand Reception by Indians

The legacy of Narendra Modi continued to resonate in PNG. Indians and people of Indian origin assembled in large numbers to welcome their national hero.

The fans were also found to be clicking selfies and shaking hands with their beloved Prime Minister.

Moreover, Narendra Modi also appeared to be rejoicing at the moment. He tweeted, “

The Indian community in Papua New Guinea came in large numbers and showed remarkable affection. Thankful to them for the memorable welcome.”
