Hitting the theatres on 16 October 2015, Pyar Ka Punchnama is back with its second installment of fun, love, and laughter. Here’s a little review of what the filmmakers have in store for you this time.
Pyar Ka Punchnama 2
Direction– Luv Ranjan
Cast– Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, Omkar Kapoor, Ishita Raj, Sunny Singh, Sonnalli Seygall
Duration– 2 hours 36 minutes

1. Story
Gogo (Kartik), Thakur (Omkar) and Chauka (Sunny) are best friends. Like the previous version, the three well-settled boys give way to the whims of three pretty ladies, who sway them like their doormats.
They find their love interests in Ruchika (Nusrat), Kusum (Ishita), and Supriya (Sonali), respectively. And that is when the three lads realize the mess that has been created in their lives due to these relationships.
2. Review of Pyar Ka Punchnama 2
Like its prequel, this version is hilarious to the core. The storyline is almost the same. Men fall in love and get trapped in their relationships.
3. The Direction
The direction of the movie is good in Pyar ka Punchnama 2 for the most part. Somewhere in between, you would feel the drag. Dialogues are well written. Some of these movie dialogues would make you burst into fits. The cuss words have been muted, though. Dialogues like ‘Bas maa ka Pyar hi Sacha Hota hai‘ would pour in some instant laughter for the audience.
While the ladies have an incremented glamour quotient this time, there are certain parts where these anti-women gags might go over the board. For instance, Gogo has a hard time driving the car and posing for selfies with Ruchika and her friends!
A LOL moment but highly exaggerated. While Kusum is highly calculative about her future, Supriya makes Chauka more of a ‘naukar’ to her parents, who even help them to create a matrimonial profile for their daughter. When he says, “Bas toilet saaf karvana reh gya hai… bolenge harpic bhi lete ana,” it makes you laugh and sympathize with his frustration.
These women are certainly eye candies, but various jargons in the movie would prove them to be bimbettes. We could call it a little stereotypical, concerning women like the previous installment.
The introduction of new characters in the film imparts a new freshness. We do miss the presence of the old characters, though. Pyar ka Punchnama 2 does manage to stand out.
4. What Is Good in Pyar Ka Punchnama 2?

Pyar ka Punchnama 2 has its share of good moments. The best part is definitely Gogo’s 7-minute monologue, with his emotions pouring out in the wittiest manner; this scene is fantastic. Dialogues like ‘Problem ye hai ki vo ladki hai’ would give you a glimpse of ‘how hard it is to please a woman.’ A speech is worth a standing ovation.
5. Music in Pyar Ka Punchnama 2
The movie’s music is average, with tracks ‘Yaaron’ and ‘Sharabi’ carving an edge in your mind. The theme song ‘Ban gya kutta‘ would continuously resonate in intervals, highlighting the ‘emotional attyachaar‘ inflicted by our lady protagonists.
Overall, the movie would please youngsters in the same manner as it did before. With some well-phrased dialogues and decent role deliveries, you would sympathize with the protagonists for the adversaries they face at the hands of these women. While men would relate to the scenarios, women too would laugh off the jokes aimed at them.
It is definitely worth your time if you seek some light-hearted fun this weekend. Go ahead for this joyful ride.
