The world of indie films is huge and has many hidden gems that many of us do not know. As these movies are produced outside the major studios, they have a smaller crew and fewer stars. Yet, these films are more realistic and connect with the audience’s heart.
So, what does the internet think are the best indie movies?
1. Green Room
Green Room is this mysterious crime-centered story you want to see. While the plot is based on a crime drama, it focuses on a rock band who had witnessed a murder and now is obliged to fight back. And Reddit seems to agree with me.
2. Short Term 12
The Short Term 12 is one of the most recommended movies and has 7.9/10 IMDB ratings. This American indie drama movie came out in 2013, and its story revolves around a supervisor and her experiences with the teens who came out from the worst situations at their homes. Viewers love it for the acting and the chemistry – and the indie direction of it all.
3. Good Time
Having the great Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson in the lead role, who is my all-time favorite actor too. The Good Time is a crazy intense indie film that was released in 2017, and its plot revolves around a bank robber who is trying extremely hard to get his brother out of prison at all costs.
And the one thing fans agree was great about the film? Pattisnons’ amazing hair!

4. Victoria (2015)
Victoria was a German thriller indie film that revolves around a crime-centered plot. It is one of a few indie films that is shot in just one single take. This movie is just mind-blowing and worth anyone’s precious time to watch. And the intriguing thing about it? The entire movie took just one shot to film!
