The year 2017 has been like a roller coaster ride for Bollywood. On one hand, movies made under the big banners like Jagga Jasoos, Tubelight, Munna Michael failed to perform well at box office and proved to be a disappointment. On the other hand, movies made under small budget like Naam Shabana, Hindi Medium did outstanding business at the box office. Five months are still left in 2017 and many big movies are all set to make your weekends entertaining.
- Toilet: Ek Prem Katha
Starring Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Anupam Kher this movie is all set to hit your nearby cinema halls. The movie is based on a real life story of a man who struggled a lot for construction of communal toilet after his wife left her.
2. A Gentleman 
The story of this movie is of a mistaken identity. This flick stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Sunil Shetty and Sidharth Malhotra who is playing double roles. A lot of buzz is already created for the movie through its songs and promotion. The movie will be realizing on Aug 25. 3. Baadshaho 
This movie has a star – studded cast Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, and Vidyut Jamwal. The trailer of the movie is out and it tells us that the movie is full of drama, action, and swag. The movie is set during a time central government was acquiring properties of erstwhile royal families. Sunny Leone will be seen in a cameo role. The movie is all set to release on Sept 1.
4. Poster boys 
This movie is the remake of Marathi movie ‘Poshter Boyz’. Shreyas Talpade is making his directorial debut with this movie and also starring in the movie alongside Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Poster Boys is scheduled to release on Sept 8.
5. Simran 
The official trailer of this movie came out today only and it looks like Kangna Ranaut as Simran had totally justified the role. The genre is drama and the movie is scheduled to release on Sept 15.
6. Judwaa 2 
The movie is a remake of the 1997 super hit movie Judwaa starring Amir Khan co- starring, Salman Khan. This sequel stars David Dhawan in a double role opposite Tapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez, co-starring Anupam Kher. The film is directed by David Dhawan and will be releasing on Sept 29.
7. Golmaal Again 
Golmaal again is the fourth installment in the Golmaal franchise. The fourth film boasts of a huge star cast including Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sanjay Mishra and Johny Lever while retaining the usual suspects – Ajay, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu and Shreyas Talpade. The film will be released on the occasion of Diwali.
8. Padmavati
Padmavati is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles. Although there were many controversies related to the movie they are all cleared now. The movie will be hitting the floor on Nov 17.
9. Parmanu: The story of Pokhran 
Parmanu is based on the nuclear test conducted in Pokhran (Rajasthan) in 1998.The movie has already created a lot of interest on social media. John Abraham and Diana Penty starrer this political thriller will be released on Dec 22.
10. Tiger Zinda Hai 
It is the sequel to the 2012 movie Ek the tiger and the second installment of Tiger film series.Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will be reprising their roles of Tiger and Zoya. It is scheduled to be released on 22 December 2017.
