As we are growing in terms of technology and getting more comfortable in our lives, somehow, we are losing the ability to eat healthy. So, we need someone who encourages us to eat healthy by providing us the benefits of healthy eating. Hena Kanakia Gangar, a certified health coach and diabetes educator is doing this job so perfectly.
She is making people aware through her consultation and social media platforms by sharing valuable information about healthy eating.
The health coach specializes in reversing conditions like PCOS, hypertension, and lipid imbalances, she champions prenatal and child nutrition. Her clients sing her praises, citing transformative experiences.

IcyTales is in a conversation with Hena Kanakia Gangar about her passion of making people aware about healthy eating and how she manages various clients and provides them with the best guidance.
“Even After Seeing Zero results, I Didn’t Give Up ” – Hena Kanakia Gangar
If someone is following their passion, it is because their life gave them a lesson about it. You see, many people out there don’t even get the chance to figure out what they want to do in their whole life. So, they just go with the flow or take people’s advice and end up doing a job that they don’t like.
Not exactly but kind of the same happened with Hena Kanakia Gangar. She used to work as a marketing consultant before she found that it isn’t what she wanted from her life.
“I have a background in the marketing field. I have pursued marketing in the University of Warwick, UK. I came across a lot of lifestyle changes, because I was away from my home. Basically I went against the norms of regular body rhythm.”
Indeed, moving to a different country impacts on one’s life a lot. When Hena moved to the UK, she encountered not just lifestyle changes but also her health affected a lot.
Hena gained around 12 to 15 kilos in one year, realizing this isn’t who she is. So, she took a back and started taking measures of her health and started eating light.
However even in six months she didn’t lose even a single kilo. Then she came back home and a few months later realized that she started losing weight without doing anything extra. This is when the health coach understood how science and environment played an important role.
“I understand that science and your environment plays a huge role in your overall health. I became curious about it. So, while doing a job as a marketing consultant, I did some nutrition courses and turned my passion into a profession as a health coach in 2021.”
“What Makes you Excited can Make you Feel Scary” – Hena Kanakia Gangar
Making a shift in your career is a huge decision and requires a lot of courage. Things were doing okay with Hena as she was doing a good job as marketing consultant.
She still has decided to do what she loves to and I think we should take some inspiration from her.
“So, my journey has been exciting but it is scary sometimes. Leaving a very cushy job where you are very secure, suddenly you come into a market where everything is cluttered and so many people are trying to make their place.”
Even after finding out what people want to do with their life, they still get so afraid of the challenges they might face in the future. Hena Kanakia Gangar went with her gut and made significant changes in peoples’ lives.
“I just thought I should go with my gut and help people make changes by sharing my experience. I want to educate and teach everyone who comes to me to have a sustainable and long term goal with a proper balanced lifestyle.”
“Sharing 100% Accurate Information is essential” – Hena Kanakia Gangar
Being a nutritionist or a health coach, it requires a lot of hard work and research before sharing any information about any particular food or health concern.
Pick any video of Hena Kanakia Gangar and you’ll find facts and data based on that on the internet “Whatever I share with my audience comes from my personal experience or the research I do. When I’m talking about a particular food or diet, it is based on 100% data and facts given by science.”
Till now, we all know that Hena has the courage to do something different that stands her out. What if I tell you that even in this era where paid advertising has become essential in order to spend your business, she doesn’t run ads and all of her clients come from word of mouth.
“I don’t run ads at the moment. I want my growth to be completely organic. I don’t share content for just gaining the number on my account. I do agree that number of views is important but quality over quantity is something that I believe in. A lot of my clients come from word of mouth and deep down I’m very happy with that.“
“We should Know the Difference between Facts and Myths” – Hena Kanakia Gangar
There are some misconceptions in everything we do. Somehow, even in 2023, we believe in those misconceptions without even asking the question.
And when it comes to health, it becomes essential that we only believe in the facts and real data, not the misconceptions that people have made. Hena Kanakia Gangar is doing this very well through her sessions and social media.
“There are so many myths and misconceptions around people about healthy living. So, it is better to keep educating them on various topics. I look out for myths and misconceptions people have and make content around it.”
In India, in many households consuming wheat roti is common and people think this is the best they are getting. While having the conversation with Hena, we got to know that this is one of the biggest misconceptions we have.
“Even if people want to eat roti, it only has to be the wheat one. Why not something which is more rich in nutrients and fiber. There are a lot of options such as bajra, makka, jawar, and ragi.”
Hena Kanakia Gangar has a decent number of followers on her Instagram. Her goal is to create a name and niche which talks about sustainability. She is passionate to encourage people to have a healthy lifestyle as she knows how it impacts on their overall well-being. Her sessions are so personalized and you can also book one on one consultation with her via Email or Phone Number.
