Q) How long have you been coaching? What specific areas do you focus on?
Neha Hathiramani- I have been doing this for a year now. I have had the opportunity to coach more than 100 women so far. I offer customized solutions for every individual to help them take control of their life by providing tools and techniques to attain the 3 Cโs: Clarity, Confidence, and Consistency.
Q) Why did you decide to become a life coach?
Neha Hathiramani- I started as an HR professional and served for over 5 years in the corporate field. Then I went on to look for more opportunities, where I got certified as a soft skills trainer under Dale Carnegie Training India. But somewhere in my heart, I was not feeling fulfilled and always felt like something was missing. So, my mentor, Puja Puneeth, helped me find my passion and life coaching and trained me to be one. So, when I experienced the magic of coaching, I also realized that too many people out there need just that slight push to turn their life around.
Q) What is the biggest challenge you helped one of your clients through?
Neha Hathiramani- One of the clients who approached me was dealing with past trauma which kept haunting her for years. My sessions helped her heal through this trauma and escape the rabbit hole of negativity. Recently, when I reconnected with her, I learned that she still follows those techniques and practices I gave her in sessions. She is not the same anymore. She is a lot more confident and successfully moved out of the stuck phase.
Q) What is your approach towards people who come to you having a mindset towards ending their life or not having the will to live happily?
Neha Hathiramani- First, a fall, I would connect to them very closely and hold a lot of space for them. I would choose to introduce them to the very powerful tool of gratitude and induce a lot of hope and confidence through various tools and techniques. But if I feel the client still needs some medication along with the session, I would send them to a therapist.
Q) What is a typical day like for you?
Neha Hathiramani- My typical day as a coach is pretty exciting. The main reason behind this is that I get to design my schedule and method to work on my own. I have a morning routine by following a technique called SAVERS; S stands for a few minutes of silence. Then I do my Affirmations, Visualisations followed by Exercising, Reading, and Scribing.
After this, I set out to do my house chores and cater to my sonโs needs in terms of online schooling and more. My afternoons are generally dedicated to sessions, client calls, and research work. After that, I do some grounding activities and spend time with my family. This particular activity helps me set the tone for the day and gives me a lot of clarity.
Q) What is your favorite part about being a coach?
Neha Hathiramani โ When you do something you love, everything is your favorite. If I have to name one, it would be the kind of revelations each session provides to the clients and the happy faces at the end. The best part is that you can be the light in someoneโs darkest times.
Q) According to you, what is the most important thing in life?
Neha Hathiramani- In the uncertain times that we are living in and all we have currently been through, I feel the most important thing in life is that we are ALIVE. So, the most important thing for me is to wake up alive every day. The past one and a half years have been a roller coaster for me where I lost two very close people in my family.
If you are waking up every day, make it count, follow your dreams, do the dance, make that phone call you have been postponing, and make every minute count. When the pandemic hit me, I experienced how tough it was to fight that. That was a wake-up call for me.
Q) Last but not least, any message you would like to give to people dealing with difficult/challenging life right now?
Neha Hathiramani โ Nobody escapes a difficult situation or challenge in life quickly or easily. Everyoneโs coping styles and mechanisms are different. The first thing you should do is to take complete control of your mind. Your mind has a lot of fear, anxiety, and inner voices telling you otherwise, so taking control of that should be your first step. Secondly, have faith in yourself and the higher power. Faith is your fuel through tough times. Just hang in there and have faith that everything shall pass. Believe that you are much more than anything that you will ever face.
Coaches help you identify your strengths and areas of concern and motivate you to gear up your strength and then face your troubles and achieve your goals and progress. It is always excellent to take such motivation from someone who is an expert in this field.ย
