Q) Please start by telling us something about your journey in the blogging field.

Priyanshi Jain- Blogging was never on my bucket list. I just liked how people share their child’s videos and photos with the world, so I wanted to do the same. Gradually I realized that there are some gaps between people, and that gap is of knowledge as parents about their children. As I embraced motherhood, I was confused about what I should and should not do. So as a result, I started research-based parenting, which led me to become a mom blogger.

Q) Your profile says that you are into vegan-friendly cooking. Don’t you think a baby requires a lot of other nutrients that vegan food won’t be able to provide?

Priyanshi Jain- I don’t think that vegan food does not provide enough nutrients. Consuming vegan food properly gives you all the required vitamins and nutrients for your body. I am vegan, so this is a tried and tested formula that I am sharing with you. If I take the example of omega fatty acids, which are normally found in non-vegan foods only, I would like to inform you that there are vegan options also, like chia seeds, walnuts, etc., which provide omega fatty acids to your body.

Trust me, If you correctly include them in your diet, you will get all the benefits, and your body will not face any deficiency. So, this is the basis of my idea of creating vegan-friendly recipes for children. My recipe does not consist of any random food. Instead, it is a properly balanced meal with all the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that a child’s body needs. Therefore, vegan food can provide all nutrients, and a child’s body does not face any deficiency.

Q) What is the favorite & tough thing about being a mom?

Priyanshi Jain- If I talk about the toughest part, then motherhood and parenting are the toughest, especially for new moms, as they are blank and unaware of what they need to do. Motherhood is a life-changing phase; everything is new. You are not an individual entity now; you must live for your child. So, it is the toughest journey, but all of it is worth it. Also, don’t worry; you have a lot of mom bloggers in the town to help you sail through this.

My favorite part is seeing this little life grow and learn. As a mother, you also learn many new things daily with your child. That little munchkin that is born from you, that smile, hands, legs, and all of that are beautiful. Everything gradually settles down, and all the hard work is worth it. As I conclude, then the learning part is my favorite.

Q) What do you think new moms should do about postpartum depression?

Priyanshi Jain- There are a lot of myths in society about new mothers; I am not at all saying that everything is a myth; some are based on scientific principles also, but the proportion of myths is quite more. These myths push new moms into postpartum depression. So, my advice to my new moms would be to not listen to anybody, live for your child and focus on yourself during that period.

You might feel frustrated because of many things happening simultaneously, but keep calm and live in the moment; all of this shall pass beautifully, and it’s all worth it in the end, so don’t listen to unwanted comments.

Q) Your page has several ideas for healthy snacking for kids; share your top 3.

Priyanshi Jain- My recipes are balanced meals, and there are also some snack ideas like protein bars which are our top favorite. Suppose I talk about more than I have healthy waffles, potato wedges, smoothies, banana chips, and many other things. The highlight is that these are all healthy options for you and your child. The best part about them is that you can store them for a month or so, and even the family can enjoy them. Additionally, they are travel friendly also.

Q) How do you define motherhood according to your own experiences?

Priyanshi Jain- Motherhood has made me stronger. On my delivery date, I was shaking due to nervousness and anxiety; for the whole delivery session, I continuously recited mantras and prayed to God for my child’s safety. After the delivery of my child, I realized that I am much stronger now.

This is my message to all the moms out there who will deliver their first child in a few weeks or months; please be calm and don’t be afraid; you are much stronger than you think. Just believe in God and see yourself becoming an independent, strong, and very caring mother after the delivery.

Q) What was the worst advice on motherhood you have ever received?

Priyanshi Jain- The worst advice I received is a myth. I was told not to wash my head while feeding my child; if I washed my head, my child would catch a cold. This is something stupid and nonsense. I want to add that, Your child’s body temperature might be affected if the droplets of water get on them from your head, so don’t forget to dry your hair.

Another worst advice is that don’t eat this or don’t eat that, or your child will get acidity or other problems. Children get acidic because their digestive system is building day by day. Its nothing to do with your food. During my whole pregnancy avoided my favorite food because of this myth, as there was no one to educate me on this. After researching, I got to know many things, and my mind got a clear vision.
