Friendship is a pious relationship. A good friend is considered to be a blessing from God. Lucky are the people who have honest companions in their life. Friends break the miseries and sorrows of life and double the happiness. The alliance of mutual understanding, cooperation, and support defines a true friendship.

“Friendship marks a life even more deeply than love. Love can often degenerate into obsession, but friendship is never anything but sharing.” Elie Wiesel.

Here are five signs to know whether you have a true friend or not!

1) Always Supports You

A loyal friend will stand by your side whatsoever. They will never let you face the music of life alone. Even if they don’t have a proper solution to offer, they will ensure that they stay by your side. And yes, they will help you to conclude no matter what.

2) Will Be Veracious to You

A true friend will always think of your benefit and will always be honest with you. They will guide you, scold you and won’t be afraid to point out your mistakes even if your friendship is at stake. They will look for your betterment in every situation.

3) Will Not Be Judgmental

True friends are never judgmental; instead, they adore you for who you are. They adore the way you behave, the way you look, the way you carry out yourself. A true friend will love you irrespective of your social status or your physical appearance. They only expect honesty, truthfulness, dedication, and support from you.

4) Will Find Time to Spend with You

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.” C.S. Lewis

A true friend, howsoever busy, will always try to find time for you. Chit-chatting, talking, and making fun of you, are their favorite pastimes. You are an intrinsic part of their life.

5) Will Always Forgive You

Disputes are likely to arise in every friendship. Friends fight due to differences of opinions, but what discerns a normal friend from a true friend is that the bond never breaks whatever happens. A true friend will forgive you without letting the problem affect the friendship. A dispute cannot weaken the bond. Instead, it makes it stronger.

“I would rather walk with a friend in the dark than alone in the light.”

Helen Keller

If you have a friend like this, then never let them go!

Cherish them!

Appreciate them!

And enjoy the friendship!
