“I Always Wanted to Have Food as My Mother and Grandmother Cooks” – Puja Korupu

Food is something that no one can hate and when it comes to mother’s or grandmother’s hand food, the only word that comes into our head is heaven.

In her childhood, Puja Korupu used to visit her grandmother’s place as we all do, and the food her grandmother used to make never let anyone leave the table without licking their fingers.

My Grandmother is a very good cook, everybody used to enjoy her food a lot. Whenever I used to go there I used to get inspired, by how people could cook such good food. I used to be very curious about those things. After studies and all, I used to make some time for myself and used to try very simple recipes, right from around age 13 to 14. I used to call my friends and ask them to taste my food. Later on, I went to a job, and everytime I used to taste outside food it never tasted that good. I always wanted to have food as my mother and grandmother cook.”

In the era where eating outside food has become a trend, Puja Korupu is someone who prefers trying new recipes at home and eating them.

While she was in the hostel she used to cook food and everybody used to love it. She never thought that her recipes would gain so much attention from the people.

“I thought of starting a page recently, I just started, like, let me have a journal of my recipes so I can share it with my family, relatives, and friends. I never thought so many people would like my food and start following me.”

“We Have to Forget the Difference Between Real and Fake” – Puja Korupu

There are some brands that fool us by providing products that sometimes aren’t good for our health. It’s the harsh truth that many brands aren’t going to accept.

So the question arises how can we know the difference between real and fake? Puja Korupu has a series named “Purity Check” in which she shares some tips to identify the difference between real and fake with the help of some ingredients at our home.

“Everyone can’t do laboratory experiments yet there are some hacks we can conduct at our home and they may be useful for the people. So, I decided to post one video every week on my Instagram which helps people to understand how to test real vs fake.”

She does proper research before making such videos. Recently, Puja posted a video on Instagram in which she teaches her audience how you can know if honey is real or not. “As content creators, we should not post false content and misguide our audience. We have to research before sharing it publicly. One of my videos which I made on Honey has reached a million views on Instagram and people are loving it.”

“I’m Trying to Create Those Recipes Which Can be Accessible to Everyone” – Puja Korupu

We all get recipe videos in our feed that we really want to try but don’t have those rare ingredients. Sadly, we just continue to scroll. Puja Korupu has a vision that she is only going to post videos that anyone can try without using any rare ingredients.

Hence, her videos get millions of views on her Instagram page.

“If I started posting recipe videos that require some rare ingredients, I don’t think I would get that much reach as I’m getting right now. So, I focus on making videos which can be tried by anyone with very simple ingredients mostly in our homes.”

While making sure of the simplicity of the recipe, she also ensures that the quality of the videos she is posting is good so that people keep their interest in watching them.

“Whatever I’m posting I make sure that my audience gets it clearly. It should not be prolonged and the quality of the video should be nice. Because if I post blurry or low-quality videos, I might get as much attention as I’m getting now.” 

“Health Has Become a Big Concern for Everyone” – Puja Korupu

We all know, that everything we buy, from dairy products to even whole grain products, nothing is 100% pure anymore. Have you heard your grandparents saying that this ghee doesn’t smell the same way it used to in their time?

“Whatever ingredients I use in my recipe videos, I’m not purchasing them from any shops and all. I’m getting them from my village, from basmati rice, masalas, red chili powder, and turmeric powder. Nothing is adulterated in that. Whenever I post a video, everybody asks me where did you get those ingredients, which brand you use, and all.” 

She got inspired by it and wanted to share those pure ingredients from the village with her audience. She is planning to start a brand that only provides them with pure products. “I thought of starting a brand which only gives my audience what is pure. Maybe there are some other brands doing the same thing but I wanted to start one myself. The interest people show in my ingredients has inspired me to do this. My website is in under development phase right now”
