Q) How important do you think positivity is in life and does practicing yoga help you be positive?
Swati Kalra- Definitely. It did help me be positive. I am very emotional, so when I started doing yoga, it helped me keep my emotions on track. A positive yogic lifestyle automatically generates positive thoughts and removes mental blockages. Yoga balances energy and also supplies new energy to the body and mind. A positive mindset keeps you going and fights with all the hardships you face. Properly practiced positive thinking helps you to bring inner peace and happiness, which should be the priority in everyoneโs life.
Q) According to you, Why should yoga be included in our daily routines?
Swati Kalra- Yoga gives unlimited benefits. Including yoga in your way of life is very necessary as it teaches you how you should live your everyday life. Not only for your physical well-being but also your mental well-being. Starting your day with even a few minutes of yoga can have profound effects in a very short time. It will help you to be a calm and grounded person.
Q) It is believed that yoga helps maintain good mental health. What is your take on this?
Swati Kalra- Once you start doing yoga, it brings consistency to your life. You start becoming more determined in your journey. Without even realizing it, if you are teaching yoga daily, you are taking care of your mental health. You start looking at situations from a different perspective and attain mental peace. It completely changes your outlook on your life. Meditation boosts your mental clarity and helps you relax and control your thoughts.
Q) What all benefits and changes did yoga bring up in your life?
Swati Kalra- First things first, it made me a positive person. If I talk about physical benefits, about 2 years back, I used to get a lot of pimples during my monthly cycle, and my hormones also used to take a toll, so thatโs what yoga helped me to control. I became more active and flexible. By doing yoga, I can now control my thoughts and have a positive mindset. My lung capacity has also increased due to all the breathing exercises. So itโs a win-win situation if you start yoga.
Q) Being a working professional and having an office job where you have to sit for long hours, how has yoga contributed to good health?
Swati Kalra- Since I had never used to work out earlier, so I didnโt know the importance of exercise. But when I started doing yoga, I saw a lot of changes. My spine health and sitting posture became better. Earlier I used to get tired easily, so yoga took over that and increased my concentration and focus level. It even increased my efficiency and made me a happy person. Now I donโt crib about my job.
Q) What inclined you toward yoga and becoming a professional yoga instructor?
Swati Kalra- My husband is a lot into fitness; he is a gym junkie. Initially, when we were dating, he was the one who pushed me toward yoga. As I started exploring it and witnessing all the benefits I got from this, there was no looking back. Since then, I have been doing it every day. So all the credit goes to him; he motivated and inspired me throughout my yoga journey. When I witnessed all the benefits my body got from yoga, I wanted to spread it and give knowledge to the world, So my Instagram journey started. I began sharing my experiences and started guiding people.
Q) Would you like to share with us an experience in life that taught you something valuable, and you still follow it in your life?
Swati Kalra- My experiences in life have taught me that you have to own your mistakes and be accountable for the things that happen in your life because the only way of controlling your mind and health is by doing it internally. Basically, be who you are, donโt find mistakes in others, and try to look inward.
Q) You have a great social media following; how has this motivated you to follow your passion and create more content for your audience?
Swati Kalra- When I started sharing my journey on social media, I saw that people were keen to know everything about yoga and me; they started asking me many questions related to the remedies and asanas and a lot of other things. So, I felt I could bring change and help someone in their life, so why not. It motivated me to start as an influencer in the yoga community. Their comments, likes, and shares helped me to keep going and inspire others to the best of my abilities.
Q) What is your vision for your upcoming years in this field?
Swati Kalra- I havenโt thought about it. I donโt have a fixed goal to achieve, but I want to spread yoga, happiness, and positivity as much as possible. I am up for everything that comes my way and wants to grab all the opportunities.
