Bollywood went through a beautiful musical journey in the 1990s. Pop songs were amazing too, before Honey Singh came in. We come across some of the golden voices, lyrics and music directions here and they just remain evergreen to the 90s kids. After all, these songs mark our childhood and we cannot just get over them.

 

1. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1996)

Shah Rukh Khan’s dimples and his chemistry with Kajal. Add Rani Mukherjee’s charm to it and damn! The title track of the movie was perfect for the 90s kid and we still love it.

2. Dooba Dooba Rehta Hoon (1998)

One of the most popular pop numbers of 90s, the Silk Route song captured our hearts with its soulful music and the amazing video. Mohit Chauhan’s voice serves as a cherry on the top and it still remains in the list of our favourites.

3. Kehna Hi Kya (1995)

The melodious tune of this song from the 90s film Bombay proves A.R. Rehman’s genius and stuns all of us even today.

4. Bahon Ke Darmiyan (1996)

Alka Yagnik And Harriharan took this song to the next level with their dreamy voices. Alka Yagnik even won a Filmfare Award of The Best Female Playback Singer for this “Khamoshi: The Musical” song. Surely this is the most nostalgic one from the 90s.

5. Dekha Hai Pehli Baar (1991)

The catchy tune of this song from “Sajaan” had our minds captured the moment it released. We still can’t help singing to it whenever it’s played, can we?

6. Pehla Pehla Pyar Hai (1994)

While we feel a little awkward to see Rishi Kapoor and Tabu romance on screen (erm, what?), this song did manage to find a place in our hearts and we love it to this day.

8. Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast (1994)

The ‘Mohra’ song led Raveena Tandon to being nicknamed as “the mast mast girl”, no doubt this 90s song is still popular to us today.
