UN is an organization formed after World War II, including 193 countries as its members, responsible for promoting global harmony and peace.

War, poverty, hunger, discrimination, inequality, violation of human rights, scarcity of water, and global warming are the true face of the globe we live in.
The question is WHY? Why is the world suffering? Why do even the most innocent souls bear the most horrific circumstances?
Remember the picture of Aylan Kurdi and the toddler washed up on a Turkish beach whose family was trying to escape the Syrian war? It was the picture that shook the world and deeply pained every human.
Now is the time when we all take a stand against all these atrocities. Don’t be a bystander; we are not a generation of bystanders, be a global citizen so that no other child suffers the same fate as Aylan.
1.2. United Nations Global Goals, 2030.
The 2030 agenda for sustainable development is as follows:
- To end poverty and hunger
- To give all girls and boys access to quality education
- To ensure human rights for all and gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls
- To ensure peace and a world free of war; combat climate change.
Overall, there are 17 goals and 169 targets to be achieved by the year 2030.
