Manomithra Venkataraman is a professional life coach, a tarot reader, and a mother who inclines in public speaking. Manomithra Venkataraman always desired for her words to have an impact. She took the risk of turning her long-term passion into her full-time recognition when society questioned her ability to maintain a work-life balance as a new mother. Manomithra also began her novel career as a life coach, public speaker, and tarot reader as she was still adjusting to motherhood.

Here is a delightful conversation with  Manomithra Venkataraman on her journey of being a life coach, a tarot reader, and a mother with Icy Tales

Q) How does a day in a life coach look like?

Manomithra Venkataraman: A coach is comparable to a high-protein shake. Coaches aid those who are weak physically by giving them the protein and strength they require. Like a coin with two sides, coaches occasionally need help. They also experience challenges in their daily life. Even they must act wisely in the situation, remembering that they are the coach and who they are for society. Day as a coach requires managing the client’s life with a good attitude, having more involved sessions with the clients, and managing my personal life with a good mindset while managing all the problems in my work life. Coaches have a multi-role, in my opinion.

Q) What’s your leadership and coaching philosophy?

Manomithra Venkataraman:  When it comes to coaching philosophy, there are two things; one is regarding the work, that is, if an opportunity doesn’t knock on the door, be an opportunity. Building one is a lovely statement that can change the game if opportunity doesn’t knock on your door. Buddha said, ‘If you are a person who gets angry easily, then you will not be punished for your anger; your anger will punish you.’ This is another coaching philosophy that I adhere to.

I feel like a mother when I am with my clients in a session. I don’t care how old they are. They have confided in me, trusted my advice, and expressed their sentiments during tarot reading and life coaching sessions. At such a young age, I feel like I am playing the part of everyone’s mother.

Q) What was your most triumphant moment as a coach?

Successful moment as a coach: When my clients started to see changes in their lives.

Manomithra Venkataraman:  Some of my clients have texted me about the changes in their lives three months after our sessions, and I’ve received some adorable small awards along the way as a life coach from the beginning to the present. When a client tells me that changes have occurred in their life, I feel even more honored.

Q) What are the challenges you faced as a life coach, and what were the approaches used to change that into opportunities?

Manomithra Venkataraman: I struggled with postpartum depression before becoming a life coach, and at the time, my dietitian was the only person I knew who could assist. My dietician and I discussed the problem, but she informed me that she could not assist me because the problem was psychological and not within her area of competence. Because experiencing restless nights, constant baby crying, and postpartum depression are all related.

Ikigai was one book that I found helpful. I completely identified with that book; reading a page a day was like having a friend visit and speak to me. I struggled with my self-development, and Ikigai’s book has become a guiding light.

For the past seven years, I have been a person who practices all interpersonal and developmental skills, but this book has significantly altered me. After discovering the possibility of a career in life coaching, I enrolled in Puja Puneet Maam’s class and several other worldwide certificate programs, becoming a certified life coach.

Q) How do you keep updated on new tactical and training methods?

Manomithra Venkataraman: Only a successful business, in my opinion, may employ techniques. A few folks occasionally receive my services for free. I use my passion as a life coach, guiding me to success as a strategy. In terms of staying current, I use self-development books, which are essentially sirup, medicines, and pills for my profession as a life coach.

Q) How did you learn to read tarot cards? And when did you discover you had this particular liking to discover it?

Manomithra Venkataraman: Through a micro-course on Instagram, I just learned how to read tarot cards from a tarot reader coach. As I believe in the connections and messages of the cosmos, I initially learned it for myself. I started it with my angel cards, and I found it enjoyable.

When my angel card is helpful to me, I once reasoned, why shouldn’t I learn how to read tarot cards? Because I enjoy reading tarot cards, I started doing it every day. Every visitor to our home I read the tarot cards for was included. I am not highlighting the free tarot reading sessions. You need to know the pros and cons of reading.

I started a tarot card reading for myself because I wanted to hear from the cosmos and obtain some advice. My experience has shown that the tarot readings I’ve performed for others have resulted in feedback like, “The reading you did for us happened yesterday; your readings are 100% accurate.” I ultimately began using tarot cards in this way.

Q) Tell us about an incident in your life that taught you something?

Manomithra Venkataraman One incident that changed my life was during my marriage time. I had a lot of hatred and jealousy against people. To marry my husband, I had to make a lot of difficulties from my relative side especially. That point made me realize that we should be mentally strong people; we should be in a secure place in society coming 5 years.

So this is the biggest lesson I learned; even from that point, I try to set my mindset that I have to create such a situation again, I don’t have to interfere in between the toxic people again. Keeping toxic people like your friend is like heading yourself into a graveyard. You must keep your surroundings, ambiance, and people very positive and according to your goal.

Q) What is the most important thing or advice you want to give the audience?

Manomithra Venkataraman: My audience should constantly be focused on pursuing their dreams since no one will ever doubt them. There are no strict guidelines to abide by; life is just meant to be lived. You can make rules to help you reach your objectives, but don’t make happiness your aim. If you’ve ever felt that being happy is merely a time-wasting activity, let me assure you that it will not benefit you in the long run and will be irrelevant in five years. However, the time you spend being happy is not at all time-wasting. You should always have a positive and happy mindset.
