After being spotted by a forest contractor in his village in Nepal’s Dang district, Dangi drew media attention. Afshin Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh, 20, of Iran, who measured 65.24 cm (25.6 in) in December 2022, replaced Edward Nio Hernandez as the record holder of the shortest man living. Afshin is almost 7 cm (2.7 in) shorter than Hernandez.

2.1. Jyoti Kishanji Amge (Shortest Female Living)
According to the Guinness World Records, Jyoti Kishanji Amge (born 16 December 1993), an Indian celebrity, is the world’s shortest-living female.
Guinness World Records made the trip from London to Jyoti’s native place of Nagpur on the day she turned 18 to finalize the formal measurements necessary to validate the title of Shortest living woman. Jyoti’s height was calculated to be 62.8 cm (2 ft 06 in) after being measured three times in 24 hours in conformance with Guinness World Records regulatory standards.
Since September 2009, Jyoti Amge has held the distinction of being the world’s shortest teenager at just 61.95 cm.
