Awe-inspiring description of the top 10 best kids’ anime shows and the values they add in the lives of the viewers.
Ever wondered about kids’ anime shows, while watching cartoons? Surfing through the channels, thinking all this is useless. Let me convert you. Welcome to the world of anime. Let me be clear right off the bat. Anime is NOT a cartoon. It’s a whole other ball game.
You could find things from Doraemon, that’s for little kids, to things like Death Note, well, that’s not exactly for little kids. I could sing praises for anime all day long.
It’s educative, beautiful, full of emotions and values that are integral for growing up, and overall, just at a completely different level from whatever it is that other countries produce.
Anime is Japanese btw, in case you didn’t know. Many consider anime movies and family movie night more than video games.
Anime is usually dubbed into different languages all over the world by animation studios.
However, in my humble opinion, as with all dubbed content, classic anime watched with Japanese dialogues and subtitles. You might also be incentivized into learning the language, who knows?
Keeping in mind that all anime is not created equally. Now, these may not necessarily be 100% for kids.
Still, kids can watch anime, some kids love to watch them and, in my opinion, offer much better values to the viewer as opposed to what is branded as kids’ material and often doesn’t add any essential teachings to their lives that will shape their ideologies in the future.
All these anime for kids shows are the best in their class, and in “no particular order,” here are –
Best Kids Anime Shows
1. Doraemon

Doraemon is the face of anime shows when it comes a very kid friendly anime TV show. Originally aired in 1973 in Japan, with two other seasons in 1979 and 2005, Doraemon has become a household name, where there are kids. It has achieved immense popularity all over the world. Doraemon is the main character in the anime.
The face of the anime is a blue-white robot cat from the 22nd century, who is sent by Sewashi Nobi, to his grandfather, Nobita Nobi, who scores poor scores and is often bullied by Sunio Honekawa and Takeshi Goda or as he is called Gian.
Doraemon has a 4D pocket where he keeps all his gadgets from the future in aid of Nobita whenever he needs them, with some lovely back and forth banter, of course.
It’s a beautiful anime involving Shizuka, Dekisuki, and other supporting characters, and is refreshing to watch even for adults.
The main takeaway from this anime is the life lessons that it gives to kids.
These include working hard to achieve our goals because not everyone has a magic pocket for making life more comfortable.
They were friendly, kind to other people, and dusting yourself off the ground if you fall and carry on. Absorb what’s useful for moving forward in life.
Don’t take a breath too seriously and get stronger from what doesn’t kill you. And lastly, not to take life too seriously, making it one of the best kids’ anime shows ever.
2. Detective Conan

It’s a detective anime involving a high school detective who occasionally works with the police to solve complex cases. Without spoiling anything, the detective gets attacked and is turned into a kid by a potion.
The story is gripping with all the detective cases that the “kid” solves for the police with him getting all the attention and is one of the best kids’ anime shows.
It subconsciously tells the viewer just to do what you are best at. It teaches integrity and compassion for others. It teaches us to be observant and notice patterns in daily life where others would not see anything out of the ordinary.
Being turned physically into a kid poses several hindrances for the protagonist. Still, he puts on a brave face and overcomes all the difficulties to become one of the best detectives.
It also teaches us to be playful and never ultimately grow up and retain the childishness in the deepest chambers of our hearts.
3. Digimon Adventure

It revolves around a group of children who get trapped in the digital world by Digivices that they happened to come upon at summer camp.
There the kids meet and befriend several Digital Monsters or Digimons. The kids’ Digivices allow their partner monsters to evolve and get stronger at the battle.
Throughout the progression of the series, they learn that they are destined to save the Digital World.
The Digimon hatch from Digi-eggs and their process of evolution is called Digivolution. It primarily changes their appearances into more intimidating creatures and increases their power in combat.
Digimon primarily teaches how to be a better human by endowing the viewers with values of friendship, courage, love, knowledge, hope, kindness, and sincerity.
Overall, it tells the tale of becoming who you are, through the decisions you make and actions you perform, and that family and friends always come first and is often referred to as one of the best kids shows.
4. Demon Slayer

An incredibly heart-warming tale of a brother and a sister loved by many people is Demon Slayer, not only one of the anime shows but also one of the greatest anime shows ever.
The story revolves around a kind and intelligent young boy by the name of Tanjiro Kamado. He becomes his family’s sole breadwinner after his father passes away.
One day he comes home and finds a demon has slaughtered his family, only he and his sister are the sole survivors. Nezuko, his sister is possessed and has transformed into a demon, but still shows signs of human emotion.
Tanjiro dedicates his body and soul to becoming a dragon slayer to avenge the death of his family and help his sister turn back into a human.
This incredible series shows valor, extreme courage, dedication, hard work, intelligence, and overall, the unbreakable bond of a brother and a sister, that their love transcends boundaries and spacetime.
You are bound to shed a tear and is recommended to people of all ages.
5. Dragon Ball Series

One of the most widely loved anime series by kids and adults alike is the Dragon Ball Series. The mega series spans three whole series, namely Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super.
Personally, this is my favorite series, so I would try my best to refrain from giving away stuff while talking about one of the best anime shows.
The first series follows the adventure of a 15-year-old kid called Goku, and a young girl named Bulma where they find and collect 7 Dragon Balls, that will summon Shenron the Dragon, and grant one wish.
Throughout the series, they meet and make many foes and friends, through sheer power and love.
Dragon Ball Z, the next series, reveals the true origins of Goku, who is now 24. He belongs to the Saiyan race of beings from another planet whose species is evolved for combat.
This show has elaborate character arcs of Goku, his ally Vegeta, who turns from an enemy to a partner, and finally to a caring friend, along with countless others in this action-packed adventure.
The third series, Dragon Ball Super, is the latest and displays unprecedented levels of power and courage, along with kindness and the factor of love and trust among friends and family and how to put others before one’s own life.
This series has fantastic animation quality and is a must-watch for long time anime fans, and young kids are getting to talk with older folks about the series.
This show teaches numerous values, and it’s hard to grasp them all. Being a multi-layered story, as the viewer ages and matures, more teachings and morals will become apparent and is worth many re-watches, and is one of the best anime shows.
6. Naruto

This story revolves around a young ninja called Naruto Uzumaki, who aspires to gain recognition from his peers and also has a dream of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village, and is potentially one of the best kid’s anime shows. Naruto’s story is in two parts.
The first one is about his pre-teen days and the next about his teenage years. One of his rivals is Sasuke, and they both battle it out for the ultimate spot in the village.
They have special jitsu’s and is one of the most popular anime around. Without spoilers, the character arc of Naruto and Sasuke is very heart-rending, and is of friendship, rivalry, and just about being the best.
It is one of the best emotional experiences that anyone can ever possibly go through as far as anime is considered and is one of the best kids’ anime shows.
Naruto teaches us to always stick up to someone, to trust our instincts when we aren’t sure, that some things just aren’t meant to happen, to know your strengths and weaknesses, and that fighting isn’t always the answer.
7. Bey-blade
Okay, where do I even begin? Bey-blade is a huge series that spans many seasons, including Bey-blade V Force, Bey-blade G Revolutions, and then later on, with new characters in Bey-blade Metal Fusion, and Bey-blade Metal Masters.
So, the primary concept is that you have a massively over-powerful spinning top that houses in it a creature that can battle their enemy.
These Bey-blades are conscious and can fight with others to claim the top spot. So, there are three types of Bey-blades whose central powers are Attack, Defense, And Stamina.
They are composed of a Bit Chip, an Attack Ring, a Weight Disk, and a Blade Base. You can read more about them in detail, here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beyblade
Bey-blade teaches us the values of friendship, endurance in battle, and the fact that one should never give up despite the circumstances.
It shows us companionship, and that there’s nothing better in the world than having your team and being best friends with them, and is true, in my opinion.
8. Inazuma 11

The main storyline revolves around Endou Mamoru, or Evans, a very talented goalkeeper and his football team, which also includes the grandson of one of the most reliable goalkeepers in Japan, who had died even before the grandson was born.
With Gouenji, Endou sets up on finding some of the best football players in the world to recruit in his team and be the best. The football players in this action-packed series have superpowers concerning the position they play on the field.
Endou’s signature move is the Hand of God, using which he can stop most of the most candid shots in football history.
As with anything sport-related, Inazuma 11 teaches the priceless values of team spirit and leadership, with the ability to stand up for and support friends when they can’t and be there always. Just always, making this sports anime one of the best kid’s anime shows.
9. Pokémon

Pokémon is one of the oldest and a famous kids anime shows. It features the journey of Ash and his friends in the world of Pokémon, as Ash sets out to be the best Pokémon trainer. It stands for Pocket Monsters.
These Pocket monsters are cute creatures that live in the wild harmoniously alongside human beings. They mostly can’t talk other than pronounce their name. They are raised and commanded by their trainers.
Throughout many battles, Pokémon become more reliable and more experienced, and eventually, they evolve into more energetic beings. A Pokémon can usually have 3 stages of evolution.
Pokémon spans several seasons and is a perennial favorite of many adults who grew up watching Pokémon and has long been the best kid’s show in anime. The best part is both young and old viewers can enjoy it.
Pokémon teaches us to keep training and keep getting better at our job, and to never back down.
It shows us that life is about high thinking and leveling up constantly but not losing sight of who we are and where we come from, and finally, that you have to lose to be able to win.
10. Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters

Yu-Gi-Oh follows the story of Yugi Moto, a young boy who solved an ancient Egyptian artifact and subsequently inherited a spirit known as Pharaoh. Using the power of his spirit, he battles opponents in the game of Duel Monsters for various chivalrous reasons.
Yu-Gi-Oh’s story spans 5 seasons, wherein he takes on various dangerous opponents braving through it all to save his grandpa, help the spirit entrapped in him and other causes.
It also involves antics by his friends, where they all come together to support each other in grand stories of good over evil.
Hence, Yu-Gi-Oh teaches us that friendship is significant, that we should stand up to people, and always keep our promises.
We are also taught that every obstacle can be overcome if we have the endurance and the mental will and that it is not always the best, who stands till the end and comes out victorious making it one of the best kids’ anime shows.
There is plenty to these anime shows and for sure much of it missed out like the card game anime, amazing hero academia, little witch academia and almost every studio Ghibli anime also the sailor moon one.
